Not your fault at all, accidents happen, although I could see this a mile off because horse is getting more strung out and flat, but you ahndles it (unfortunately up till then) hope you were ok, been there done that, got the xrays to prove it lol x

I've had that exact thing happen to me! But I was on a pony, and it was only a 3'0 fence. It's actually is pretty common, and sometimes horses are able to jump it without touching a rail, or tripping afterwards, which is based on the height/agility of the horse. My trainer told me it most commonly happens when the horse takes a spot, then backs off, then struggles to get over the fence!

@sourmeetssweet the other horse in the arena would of been a safety person incase the horse got out of control and if the horse did get out of control then they would of roped the horse to settle it down some horses get a bit to excited in show jumping :) and yes it was great until the fall O:

really nice course up to that point :/ and mistakes like that happen frequently when you're jumping high and you're learning. If you miscalculate a distance and your horse isn't trained enough or trusts you to make a decision AND isn't the type that refuses, that happens.. Don't worry, I just hope that you're ok!

its not his fault he fell off! or the horses fault. the horse might of slipped on something in the arena!! and i fell off to. and it was my fault! i wasnt cantering properly and i fell off! :( my brother mocks me bout it. and i dont think it is 1 bit funny! they are just mistakes. nobody is PERFECT!

There are many people and horse that fall, This is unlucky. It is not always caused by lack of skill by the horse or rider. Everyone makes mistakes but they learn from them. You should not judge by one, But the many! I hope both horse and rider are OK!

Judge people on WHO they are not WHAT they are. There are many 'famous' showjumpers, mainly younger POYs rider, that shouldn' be there... just have the horse from daddys credit card. Some are great and i give them credit. However, your comment was completely uneccesary. There wasn't much the rider could do (by the way fabulous horse and great ridng! it was just unlucky! hope you were both okay!) i agree with NJOI001.

to be perfectly honest, her horse looks strong to the fences - so thats one thing and she was on a good pace, she dropped her shoulder, the horse misjudged the distance because of the miscommunication and went to take off a stride early and ended up swimming through the fence. she could have held her shoulder back... but its completely unnecessary to tell her shes a bad rider... my guess: you're compensating for your own insecurities.
