  • Really decent kit, not the most complete, but very good. One concern I initially had was the fact that I have to pull out my entire supply contents to get as say, an airway, but on second thought since it all comes out in one neat, organized working tray which I can see is very convenient after all. Again, a Quick Clot product and some sort of tension hemothorax shield would make this the best kit on the market. Again, my opinion only. Great job otherwise.

  • i saw some SEABEE use this but he should've called it his get to his convoy snacks NOW! it helped him get to his hooah bar around his fatness.

  • It is pretty small for a trauma kit more like a first aid kit!!! Lol

  • Your dog is Coyote Brown.

  • That Shit is Fuckin Cool

  • What PALS webbing does this pouch cover?

  • I run a pretty a 'thick' inventory in a trauma kit. The whole point of this kit is the ability to deploy it with one hand easily. With what I've got stuffed in it (and more importantly what I need from a pouch this size) the supply tray will not extract easily enough with shears in the back. Contents: 1 4" olaes 2 gauze sponges 1 pack S rolled gauze 1 muslin cravat 1 sharpie marker 1 triage card 1 cyalume 1 pr 5" trauma shears 1 NPA 1 14 ga IV cath 1 scalpel blade 1 15g celox 1 HALO seal
  • @igoswoop Are you sure you wouldn't have had the same issue with the original design though, with the same contents? I don't see that the back has changed much.

    Thanks

  • @TCINFL The way it seemed before, there was a second layer of fabric to keep the tray separate from where a lot of folks are putting shears. Trying to stuff them in behind the tray seems to bind up the extraction some.

The hook knife pocket bugs me the most I think because I bought that knife specifically for this pouch. I'll try dropping down to an izzy instead of the olaes to see if this works better.

  • It's not your fault at all but FYI:

The new Trauma Kit Now deletes the rescue knife pocket on the side and the back of the pouch's configuration is different so it precludes the ability to put a pair of trauma shears back there.

Basically 2/3 features I ordered this kit based on your good review for are now gone.

  • @igoswoop

Dood, that sucks.. I am sorry, but thanks for the feedback for others who might be thinking about this one

  • @igoswoop I had the same experience. I'm miffed they redesigned it & didn't call it the Mark II or whatever.

I don't see the issue with the shears, though. Slipping behind still seems to work for me - can you explain your issue?

As far as the hook, I guess now we're supposed to attach a 7 hook (8 is too long) on top using its included pouch. I guess I'd be OK with that if I hadn't already bought an 8 hook specifically for this pouch! All in all I think I'd be OK with the redesign if I'd known.

  • It looks like you could fit a could of other things in there too. Just sayin'..

  • @Hiluxtaco

True, but in a trauma kit, you want a few things now, then a regular first aid kit takes care of the rest

  • Whomever is holding the camera is having much of your demonstration off-screen!

  • I like that one. It does lack the EMS Professional FlightShears though.

  • this would be cool to have on my pack. who do you recommend to pick one up from?

  • I think you can get it from them directly try their website

  • on it thanks again...

  • Terrific piece of gear. Wish I could afford! Clearly the best individual trauma kit you can buy. Blue force also sells just the pouch and refils.

  • I really like it too.. easier to get into and less bulky
