You should be aware that the project was NOT canceled. Last August, after all of the game and content was built, the CEO and his team played it as was not satisfied.

They scrapped most of the content but recycled the entire game engine. They also renamed it Stellar Dawn. It's due this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if it lapsed a few months into 2011.

@RSxHistory Basically grinding is doing the same thing over and over, repetition if you will. Players use it as a way of describing a 'daily grind' or a daily repetition of the same work over and over to improve. In the vast majority of MMO's grinding is generally those quests of "Kill 40 of these" than "Kill 30 of these", than more-so you have to spend extra time to level up and do more quests that will allow you to "Kill 80 of these" and so forth. :)

Mechscape is the name of what JaGeX were working on before, and StellarDawn is the name of what they will do now. StellarDawn is like a newer version of Mechscape. See, Jagex is fond of surprises. They want to give their users a great big surprise when StellarDawn is launched. They don't want your surprise to be tarnished by any ... preconceptions. JaGeX scrapped MechScape because it did not live up to their standards and now they have renamed it to StellarDawn.
