Thanks for the video! Is the voice recorded live? It looks like the voice track is original. In the original, in the last repeat of the pallavi, Yesudas' voice breaks. When Ilayaraja pointed this out after recording, Yesudas insisted that it is retained as it is natural emotion came out of his heart and Ilayaraja agreed. I can hear it in this track too (3:53). Would appreciate if you could clarify. Thanks!

Actually it was sung live by him.But the original track was recorded on top of it because of some recording issues.

ya, its a live show, telecast came on some TV, during Pongal or Deepavali day.
Its a old recording during early 1991 i think.
recording was done on VHS tape, now converted into DVD.
Its a stage show, so need not be like in the film.
True, in some length his voice breaks. May be due to bad and old tape.
