I actually did like Clay and Leslie and that scene between them was very sad indeed. Leslie lost her father and boyfriend on the same day good grief that is tragic.

They HAD DNA testing in 1987. It just wasn't as widespread as it is now. The first testing was actually done in 1984!

Correction DNA test did excist it was established 1985.......the techniques wasn't as great as the ones we have now but it sure did excist......
