  • I understand what this song's about..but hey!! I won't say anything \m/

  • Brett's songwriting is deteriorating to the point of decadence.

I really dislike some of the songs on Dissent, including this one.

  • @Hupsibasse The references he makes in this song to Desmond Morris, Rene Descarte and Hobbes are pretty intense though. Might be worth a look around at some online explanations of the lyrics and maybe give a different view on the decadence. Maybe not, just trying to enrich the debate :)

  • this refrain reminds me on another song... but dont ask me witch o0

just great, noticed today that they did a new album in 2010... and they still have "the old sound" ... cool!

  • @EpicMacX

The Solo kind of reminds me of Before i Go by Unwritten Law

  • @HadesPet i wouldnt call it "poppy"... seems like a really light rock song, dont even say poppy XD

  • @HadesPet I know what you mean, its so poppy and i feel like i shouldn't like it, but i find my self going back to this song, hahaha.

  • none can understand wtf bad religion is sayng cause they're a metaphorical band.they talk about magic mainly and relationships 'tween god and humans(maybe)

  • none can understand wtf bad religion is sayng cause they're a metaphorical band.they talk about

  • i love this song

  • So catchy!!! but that Rebecca Black chick gets more hits...yup, there's something wrong in the music world!!

  • @godspunchingbag Did it ever occur to you that she gets so much attention because people like you never shut up about her?

  • This is my first time hearing this song. To me it seemed like it was about the holocaust. Just listen to the lyrics. Maybe i'm wong i don't know. Just my opinion.

  • There's always gota be atleast one douchenozzle that thumbs down.....

  • i don't get this song. i'm a huge fan of all BR's closing songs (even The New America--a terrible album--went out with a bang), but there's some poppy stuff at the end of this new album that just doesn't seem to fit their writing style. i realize that bands branch out and try different things, but i can't pull any meaning from these lyrics, and the music isn't engaging like most other BR tunes. this seems like filler, which BR shouldn't have to use...

  • I like they're sorta country stuff, reminds me of recipe for hate. Crazieguyforever said it all.

  • @TheBroncoooo

You are a man with a mission!

  • great song i rate it "fucken Phenomenal"!!

  • ask me no questions, i'll tell you no lies

  • Best song on the new Album

  • Bad Religion was my first "#1 favorite band" as a kid, when I first got into music for myself and was still cutting out a space for myself apart from the tastes of my very musically active parents. To this day they hold a place in my heart that few other bands can touch. I can't express enough joy that they are still going strong, and still making great new albums after so very many years. I have more favorite Bad Religion songs than some bands have songs at all. Here's to hoping they keep it up

  • who turned on the radio?

  • @HadesPet I think it's about god in a way. Someone is asking god something, and god answers in turn "i can't deny it, but I won't say anything." God not admitting to his mistakes, but he won't lie and deny it. That same idea can be applied to people in general.

  • would have been a nice single choice...very catchy ..nice melody

  • i have just spent the better part of about 2 hours listening to this song, its just so good and im still trying to figure out what its about!, but hey, i cant deny its great so i wont say anything

  • I personally think New Maps of Hell is their best album, punk rock back to their roots...well their "Punk Rock" roots, they gave Progressive Rock a go, and it didnt go too well, though i actually found "Into the Unknown" as being pretty great.

anyway, this is album is great, all the people commenting are the sort of people who whenever there is a great band who has either evolved, or just changed always say, "I prefer their older stuff"...why can't you like the good stuff, regardless of age?

  • I have been a Bad religion fan for a long timeand I think that this is their best album.

You cant blame them for evolving some of their styles. Hell Greg Graffin is 46.

It would be unfair to him to write everything the same. And I really dont get all the hating on this album cause most of their songs are still the Bad Religion we all know.

They just have a couple different songs which I think are excellent

  • sounds country and l Love lt

  • i just listened to this whole album and its just not that good. some good songs but nothing that truly stands out like against the grain, suffer, generator, no control... its just sub-par in comparison like new maps of hell or new america. i am sorry BR i love you guys but come on. i know you can do better. Disappointed...

  • Really catchy and smooth song to end the album. I like this one a lot actually. This album and the previous album had their ups and downs but the high ups on them carried any low points.

  • my fav song is pride and the pallor but this is a good and smooth ending for the album. no more melodic than this, though!

  • alright i love bad religion alot, they are my favorite band, i painted the cross buster on the back of my leather jacket, in all honesty, that was an ok album, not bad, they are much to good at what they do to have a bad album, but very very mediocre. but who knows, i didnt like new maps of hell when it first came out so maybe my opinion will change, suffer is still the best, and how could hell be any worse is still the best, how ever this is my opinion and i will not state it as fact.

  • I love the contrast of the opening song "the day the earth stalled" and then this song, the closing track. It kinda symbolizes how they first started out and how they've grown as a band over the years. anyway, enough analysis... this is a great fucking song!

  • The only thing that could make this album sound ok is listening to any song from new america for five seconds.

  • best song on an ok album.

  • how the hell did they get to you???

  • good ending to a great album

  • i enjoyed it, honestly.

  • People can no longer say that BR don't change up how they sound musically after this album.

  • i.e. I wouldn't like Bad Religion at all if this was the first song by them I heard.

  • I find this song rather hard to like.

  • I love this song, In my opinion, Bad Religion just know how to end every album in an epic way: Don't sell me short, Live Again, Fields of Mars, Walk Away, Bored and Extremely Dangerous... and this song is another one, just epic, I love it!!!

  • This and Cyanide are my favorite songs on the album

  • I like this song but I seriously hate the opening line.

"He looked just like a zookeeper in a human zoo"

It just doesn't flow well and sounds almost redundant.

  • @HadesPet I think the 3 verses are the politicians, religious leaders, and business leaders.

  • fuck yeah stick with process of belief

  • great song! i love the chorus. kinda different for br, but awesome

  • they should just stick with p.o.b. real fans will understand

  • I really dig this. I'm a long time fan and usually a purest but this song is great!

  • ok my favorite song on this album will probaly be this one <3

  • Infectiously-catchy song. Can already tell it's going to be highly underrated.

  • great song

  • Amazing song on an amazing album, can't wait to pick it up.
