We are doing this song in my choir class! Our concert is tonight <3 We have loved singing this so far! Hopefully we will do great tonight as well ! (:
We're singing this for my high school A Capella choir right now. So hard to learn at first but I love it now! We only have 2 weeks to learn it,too! This choir did a great job :)
Anton Armstrong is AMAZING, don't get me wrong. I auditioned at St. Olaf, and was accepted, but ended up not going there. Anton Armstrong is easily one of the most prestigious conductors in the country, but every conductor bring something new to any piece of music. I agree with you, but I will say that I have worked with better conductors.
This song was always one of and probably my favorite songs i ever performed when i sang with mixed choirs. And i feel what Leveena feels at that part of the song. The chords during the words "thy yolk is easy" is probably my favorite. And this choir did superb job with the dynamics. Great directing!
Love this song! And very nicely done! The high school choir I'm in did this song for festival, but this sounds by far the best that I've heard! The dynamics are impressive!
A Great rendition of this work by Daniel Gawthrop. You dont find many choirs who can sing his music with feeling and meaning as this choir has showed. I'd certainly like to see more videos and recordings of the ETBU Choir on Youtube.
Post more, post more!! You should give ETBU credit for these too... Put ETBU Concert Choir in the title, so they can be searched for. I have always loved this piece of music, I especially love the slower section. I have searched for ETBU choirs on here before, and was unable to find anything. I searched for Sure on this Shining Night, and just happened upon it.
2:05-2:35 If this doesn't get a tear out of you, you need to get checked by a doctor.

The "woven with melody" part gave me chills. ^^
