Can anyone please recognize the book that my friend is talking about:
"The name of the main character is on the tip of my tongue, something along the lines of Lauren or Lorie. She was insecure about her weight, hated her name, got picked on often, loved marine life, and decided to paint her entire room navy blue.
She was either in 7th or 8th grade and was fascinated by a skinny girl with scabby knees who stared at her all the time. I think she called herself Vicky"
I love Emily Giffin as well ! I can't wait for something borrowed to come out in theatres, although I hope they don't wreck the book ! have you read love the one you're with? I enjoyed that one too (:
i've read a few jodi picoult books- you should read Salem Falls, The Pact & House Rules if you haven't already!! they are awesome!!
also one of my favorite books is Girl with the Pearl Earring, you should check that one out as well :)
also i saw from one of your other vids that you're a cat person, and this is a dog book but last summer i read 'The Art of Racing in the Rain' and it was suuuuper good.
To me the book is good, but it's like any other teen book. If you take Carrie Bradshaw out of the equation, it would be just that. It was VERY predictable and unlike Carrie with just a speckle of her every now and then. Come on! Since when did Carrie cook? And something like coq au vin at that? She even said her oven was filled with clothes in the series. And she said her father left when she was 2 and didn't even mention sisters.
@SandDancerHellie Her Fearful Symmetry I just found way too weird, Shame as loved TTW. Symmetery - cemetery - clever! I thought symmetry as in twins..The Candace Bushnell has a rubbish cover here so I refuse to buy it!

I read the Lovely Bones years ago and loved it. A singer songwriter from the US - Gretchen Peters - recommended it to me - as a friend of hers had heard her song 'This used to be my town' (you have to hear it) - which was written months before the book came out and is so similar! I read it in one night and by time I understood title I could hardly read for tears. Planning to re read it this summer; something I don't often do! Did you read 'Lucky' and 'The Almost Moon' by Alice Sebold?

Hey I just finishes reading a book called the luxe it's like set in the 1800's and I didn't think I would like it but it's actually really awesome you should check it out if you haven't if you get the chance :)
@kristin14macey Oh, interesting. I read something simillar not to long ago called "A Great and Terrible Beauty" and it was set in the late 1800's, and I really did not think that I would like it... I actually really enjoyed it.

ahh!!! i LOVE Jodi picoult! it's kind of refreshing that all the books weren't from the YA section like so many of these other kinds of videos are haha
I really enjoy your book videos it gives me an insight on some good books as i'm quite clueless when it comes to what to read. I loved the movie lovely bones as it has a different take on a murder account and so on. I would really like to read the book so that is definetly on my list of books to get also along with the carrie diaries i've been dying to get my hands on the book for ages.
If you haven't already i sugggest you read the harry potter series. They are my favourite all time books.
I absoutley LOVE reading but I could never get into the Harry Potter series when I was younger. I probably should try again now that I am older maybe I will appreciate it much more than I did before.
@kaittdee I was the same with the harry potter series and now that i am older (15) i can take the time to understand it and apprieciate it. I brought lovely bones yesterday and read a chapter and felt i had to read more although i'm reading harry potter and the half blood prince right now so my sister has taken it off me untill i've finished my current book. I'm just itching to read it.
I started to read Lovely Bones and felt sick (her being molested, from what I remember)...I don't think I'll try re-reading it. Too much for me to handle. but Jodi Picc is my FAVORITE author. like seriously..she's amazing.
you against me by jenny downham is a good book, i feel in love with it<3
