I don't think it's too much to ask that a Presidential candidate explain his numerous connections with a known domestic terrorist. If John McCain had, for any reason, worked along side of Timothy McVeigh, would we not question him about it?

Obama's explanations are valid and IMO satisfactory, but I'm concerned with his assertions that the line of questioning is inappropriate. It makes me think he may have something to hide.

Obama hasn't brought up relationships of McCain's that are on the same level (but David Letterman did on Thursday night).

Obama didn't bring up that Palin's husband was part of the ALASKAN SECESSIONIST MOVEMENT and that Sarah said at one of their charity banquets that she "shared their views."

I don't think he said it was inappropriate. He just said that he thinks it's troubling that McCain has made it a central issue in his Campaign recently.

It has been contested whether or not the Weather Underground can really even be called a terrorist group (they targeted gov buildings and incited riots, but warned of their activities in advance so that people could evacuate).
