Yes, I remember the time when "anime" used to be called just "japanese cartoon", the drawnings were well defined and the animation was kick-ass action.

Only on video, well done drawings with every single detail frame per frame. And now, character designs are so simple, mainstream plotless and overloaded colors everywere. Japanese animation just lost it's charisma. Only few jewels can be seen (hardly) nowdays. 'sigh'.

from the old days I'd like to see the first series of "bubblegum crisis". not the 2040 series.
