  • This reporter is a f***ing idiot. I started working as an EMT at 18 and i've been doing it for almost 5 years already. This is a prime example of a HATER!!!!! He's just mad that he's a reporter....and not doing anything life saving like these "pimply faced teenagers"

  • this reporter is such a douchebag! is he fired yet?

  • yea well guess what....I FOUGHT FIRE IN HIGH SCHOOL WUT WUT

  • I was little I used to watch this show called In a Heartbeat it was about 4 high school students who were volunteer EMT’s. I thought they were so cool and decide when I grew up I was going to be come an EMT. Those kids are probably very responsible sometimes high school kids can be a lot more responsible than some adults. I really wish I could have been an EMT in high school.

  • thats messed up im an explorer in michigan and were not allowed to respond direct let alone drive the rig bu our selfd wtf haha lucky people

  • @SuperFirefighteremt Haha hey man im an explorer in California and we never run calls. Im so jealus of these guys its unimaginable.

  • Kids dont get enough credit. Sorry reporter that you were insignificant in your teenhood. keep in mind that kids do "grown up" things all the time. Its the experiance of our elders and the sweat of our young that make the world work. Are you surprised that kids fight wars as well Mr. Reporter. 1 Timothy 4:12 Beoch!!!

  • Coming from a 17 year old EMT-B, Age has nothing to do with it. I would rather have a kid that has grown up in EMS then an Adult who just had his first ride time... The kind of "kid" that actually practices being an EMT is more capable then a lot of adults. Just what I think.

  • I would love to join

  • wow that guys an asshole

  • This is fantastic! I earned my EMT license as a Senior in high school. Competency isn't based on age, but rather skills and training. Bravo to these wonderful students that are making a difference in their community!

  • Why is everyone banging on about the pimply face reference? Did you not even hear the next line?

  • sometimes a deovoted 17 year old IS better the a 30 year old wanting a cert. for a differnt job

  • Steve Hartman, was all that really necessary? You think your better then these kids because you're older, but you're not. They save lives everyday and you make fun of them on national TV. You're an insecure bastard, mister. Have some respect.

  • Attending to a pt is one thing...but they let them DRIVE the ambulance? Teens are VERY new drivers and I think still need experience driving a regular car before moving up to lights and siren ambulance driving. I don't like that at all. And I'm a teenager myself.

  • @m173627 dude, ambulances are actually easier to drive then cars. learn to drive an ambulance.

  • @UncleJoeSeph how's that?

  • @m173627 I agree with you! I've had my regular drivers license for several years and I'm a Nationally Registered EMT who drives the ambulance but I surely don't prefer it. I surely hope they go through just as much training to drive the ambulance and they do to care for the patients.

  • 0:58 great ass

  • thats how it should be, im a volunteer emt at my school in new york and im not allowed to leave for a call under any circumstances. I've heard a priority one cpr in progress 3RD DISPATCH driver alone and was still not allowed to leave.

  • Doogie Howser EMT...

  • @jsjsmith2812 Nevada, Las Vegas specifically.

  • Interesting. In Utah the state requires you to be 18 to be certified. Unless these are EMR's, but it doesn't seem that way.

  • def not savin this guys life- high school emt

  • Stop doubting younger people, and calling them "pimply faced"...asshole

  • I started in EMS when I was 14 in Alabama. I received my EMT-Basic license when I was 18 years old and started paramedic school when I was 19 years old.

  • I wish I could've done that when I was a teen!

  • we dont have that at my school! your lucky my sister's boy friend would love to do that!!!

  • @Maggie3039 Join your emergency squad, im 17 and Im an EMT-B

  • Worst. Reporter. Ever.

  • "Old lady down POSSIBLY A HEART ATTACK" and in the end it is just a fall. I work EMS and have been doing that for over 6 years now, and where the hell did the "heart attack" come out of a fall?!?!?!? Good for them they are doing this so young!!! Just I would not like them to drive though, because they don't have the experience on the road driving code 3 like the older EMT and medics do

  • HEYY ASSHOLE when you were a kid you were a pimply faced teenager so first screw you. Next, they might be young but they probably know more than you, and if some one passes out in front of them they wouldn't shit their pants and run away yelling " MOMMY MOMMY" they would do something and save the persons life.

  • @paolifireasst3

Just wait until someones needs them.. your right

  • @bkotzer Yaaa that asshole was probally tired of playing with himself so he wanted to make a video.

  • Sorry. Systolic 110

  • Haha yeah that would be nice. Here in NYC it's admin Asa 162mg if over 33yrs or cardic Hx. Assist nitro if previously prescribed. Bls doesn't carry nitro. And thanks =D

  • how would i feel if it were a kid? as long as he puts me on NRB at 10-15 lpm, gives me 162mg of aspirin, and 2 tablets of Nitro (provided my bp is over 120systolic), yeah cool.

and i wouldnt care if there was an adult with them "at all times"

only issue i have is are they responsible for lifting the 125lbs as well? thats more dangerous for younger ppl.

(im a 21yr old EMT (3 yrs) and medic student.)

  • @gamedemon89 I'd especially prefer a kid who actually knew his treatments. Such as 324mg ASA and 1 tablet nitro (up to 3 tablets separated) with a sys bp over 100 all while either following standing orders or after calling med control.... But maybe your state's scope/pros are different. I also agree with the weight thing, but one adult + two high schoolers should be able to handle weight, or call for assistance from FD or those medics.

Anywho, god speed bro, best of luck in your medic schooling.

  • I think It's totally awesome!!

  • The reporter sounds like a douchebag. (Excuse my language)

  • Pimplyfaced teenager? Screw you. Those kids deserve commendation. They're doing a great thing, and it's awesome that they have the opportunity and desire to help others. "They don't care for the patients, right?" What a dick.

  • @Reid107 Im 21 and I'm an EMT and guess what?? They let me drive an ambulance and care for actual patients too! Crazy huh? If they pass the exams, why not?? I'd be as comfortable in the care of people like that as I would be in the care of any other EMT. At least you know they care about what they're doing, otherwise they wouldn't be there.

  • Im in Emt and im still in highschool..its still consider a college class..so i can be a emt when i graduated..

  • Thats actually pretty cool i would love to do that

  • pimply faced teenager? what a prick.

  • i was waiting for him to say "the possible heart attack turned out to be.. just gas." lol

  • She has a nice ass

  • @43FIRERESCUE43 I said Medic dude. Not EMT lol...

  • @43FIRERESCUE43

Try 4 years of University, in England, New Zealand, And Australia, & Canada to become a Paramedic.

  • the reporter is an ass

  • I am 15 years old and I am studying for my EMT-B. Hopefully I will be on call next year.

  • It's easy to become an EMT... Anyone physically capable can do it, but being a ALS Paramedic or Critical Care Paramedic is a whole different story. People complain about EMTS being underpaid... Well don't expect much pay for like an 8 week course. Paramedics will need 3-4 years of Training(not all at once) to be the highest level. And they deserve they higher pay. I'm mainly referring to Paramedics in the states. Cause in Canada they get paid 70 000 Grand starting out which is awesome.

  • @havoc999998 8 weeks? try 4 months

  • lucky, ive been wanting t be a paramedic forever and i have to wait to get thro college :(

  • I am a 18 yr old college student. i have been a member of the topeka volunteer fire dept for 3 years and am now an EMT student and looking to become a paramedic. i have always been looked at as inferior because i was younger than everyone else. its about time teenagers get reccongnized for what they can do and not criticized for being young

  • FYI for anyone taking the EMT basic written exam thru PSIexams.com they are'nt state affiliated. also do not reimburse you if you cancell a test or miss a test.So you could pay $55.00 for every test taken. You only get 3 chances and then you have to take another emt course again.I missed test because of my job demands they counted that as one of my test attempts. So I only have 2 shots left. They were rude as hell on the phone 2 me and I spoke to 3 diffrent operators.Be warned register by phone

  • sooo when i responded driving the ambulance to the hundreds of medical calls i ran in high school.....no one called me a pimply faced teenager.......?

  • love the idea !!!!

  • Im one of these =]

  • Screw college, screw a high school diploma. I can be an EMT 4 without having a GED or high school diploma.

  • @Rangerhalt1 Be warned doing a program like this requires you to stay in high school and graduate. Most states require all emts, paramedics, and ems staff have a high school diploma

  • @kpak44wh Kansas doesn't.

  • I happen to have nearly flawless skin, and I'm a teenager. Thank you very much! >:O

  • @xXBlackTeddyBearXx u tell them! i thought he was offensive n was just jealous of of them. maybe he had pimples as a teenager...

  • thats cool im going to school for emt my 2nd sem. of junior year in h.s. can't get certified tho cause i won't be 18

  • wow. pimply faced teenagers?? why the hell would he say that?!

  • This is a good thing I have been in EMS for 16 years and i started in high school

  • wow that guy is such a jackass. if i ever catch him on the street im gonna kick him in his vag.

  • I support junior EMT's. Im a FF/EMT now and i started as a junior member with my FD and Rescue Squad.

  • Comment removed

  • @couger666 I'm about to do the same thing! :D

  • I just finished my clinical for a FD and ERs. and I will be taking my NREMT test in July or august. and then in August I will be start school to be a paramedic. I too do the fire rescue explorers along with police explorers. I think that this is a wonderful thing for kids our age to be doing. it gets us going in the field that we want to do for life. I tip my hat to kids that take advantage of this! <3

  • @floridamedic2 where are you from?? were I'm at you have to be 17 or 18 to be in the program senior year.

  • I took my EMT class when i was still in high school, now just graduated in May- i take my exam on the 19th. I think it's an excellent program for teenagers who are actually serious about the field- and not just taking it to get out of regular school- which i have seen alot. But, the ones that actually work hard and want to do this, i think its an excellent opportunity. Besides, you don't need to be a certain age to save a life. I'm 17, and i've aleady saved one in the ER.

  • Yea the response time must be amazing *rolleyes*

  • @ray85k 5.7 minute response time

  • yeh thats why i call specifically for stamford hospital to come.

  • pimply faced teenager ? that is very offensive

  • @pypy22 I thought the same thing. What a fucking douchebag.

  • @pypy22 it deff is.

  • @pypy22 lol but pretty accurate. haha. I don't miss being a teenager!

  • @pypy22 Suck it up princess....

  • @pypy22 Take it you are pimply faced? HAHA...

  • doooo whhhhaaaaattttttt?!

  • I think this is great :O my school just started a dual enroll ment for emt butyou have to be 18 for it

  • You really have to defer to your local protocol. The State of North Carolina does not recognize the NREMT-Basic as an employable certification. Volunteer or otherwise. It is always good to have, but we require our own state certification which requires the certified individual to be 18+. I think this is a great thing that Darien, CT is doing. It teaches great life skills and responsibility to these kids. We have a program like that here, but they can only observe the call and carry equipment.

  • its good to see the school and kids work so well together for the people. keep up the good work!!!

    FF Maple Wood OH

  • hahahahhahaha wow thats a small town if they have to wait for their emts to come from class. thats gotta be like a 20 min response time haha

  • @spaethizzle our average response time is 5.7 minutes

  • amazing. love it. I personally would have no problem with teenagers responding to me.

  • Doesn't NREMT require you to be 18?

  • nope, i have a friend who is 17just passed his EMT-B now in a bridge course to NREMT

  • They get out of school? That's not fair! Good for them though!

  • I am a paramedic, but with these it appears they respond on a BLS level, if they can pass all the cert. exams and are cleared then it's all good, and like they said in the end, if it turns out to be a bad call they always have paramedics close by to help them

  • "pimply face teenager"

    wow

  • I wanna be a emt nd I'm in high skool but what should I do first ??

  • You could see if in your county or surrounding counties have an EMS Explorers program..that could give you a jumpstart in your career...It is alot of fun...I am in one..It is worth looking into...

    BEST WISHES!

  • i would join your local fire or ambulance corp, get some training first so you know what it is like, then take some small courses like First Responder course, then your emt it will be alot easier

  • Wish they had this when I was still in high school. I'm a certified emergency medical responder now and I volunteer for sports teams and events, but this would have been awesome. Great vid

  • nyc14gauge who the fuck cares if ur a Paramedic, i rather have them treating me then u, for one i'm a explorer, two I've did ride alongs with Real paramedics and Emt and have been complemented on how well I've helped them, and how well i can hold myself, , three I've just as well trained as they are, i'm been complement by my school pricpble, because i'm a volly, and for the people who have say the parnet don't know the risk, my moms a nurse and know dam well the risks that are involed

  • I personally don't care if they are 16. If they pass the required written and practical test (if it's the same in Conn as it is in NY) go for it!! I just hope they don't get caught up in the politics involved in EMS anymore. My hats off to the young men and women that are doing that. (BTW I've been an EMT for 20+ years)

  • @outlawracer2229 is it a good career? whats the starting pay? im thinking of doing this

  • @outlawracer2229

Thats awesome! Thank you for posting this! Im in Virginia, and Im about to be an EMT and i just graduated highschool. Koodos to them!

  • I was a EMT in high school my junior and school years as volunteer. I enjoy doing it and I have been emt for 6 years now. I love giving back to my community and help save life. The hard parts was treating friends and family but you have you do your job no matter how you feel. I studying to be a paramedic in few years after done my BA. More high schools should have emt programs to help students to a career they will love.

  • I'm a senior in high school and by graduation I will be a certified EMT-B.. and a year after that I will be a EMT-P. I enjoy my program where we take the classes now to be a EMT-B.. I feel that I'm doing a service to the community

  • My High School paid for my EMT-B

  • I wish mine did...

  • I tell you the EMS bug bites you at a young age. I was like many on this text chat log. I started at the age of 17. I was a 20 yr old medic who couldn't drink a beer but could give Morphine and shock the heck out of someone. I was able to to ride as an observer on the ambulance service where I lived which was great. I hope to see more EMT classes in the high schools. Young people can make a difference! Kuddos to this young ambulance service and to those who support it.

  • When I was 15, a freshman in high school I decided to become an EMT for my graduation project. I started the class literally the day that i finished my freshman finals. I couldn't take the written test until I was 16, (6 months after I took the class). I am now 18 and still love EMS. Within the next 2 years I should be getting my paramedic.

  • I am 18 and i became an EMT during high school. I am also a volunteer firefighter, at times i would respond to calls in the middle of the night and then come to school. I beleive if you can be mature about it you cna be a good EMT>

  • It isnt hard for me to believe. I am a certified firefighter and EMT-B and have been running with my agency since I was a Jr. member my freshman year of high school. I just graduated this year and I am actually one of the youngest paid personel with my county fire district and im only 18. Good job for these other kids for getting involved and helping the community!

  • im a surgical tech , im only 18 and im about to go to emt school !!! so i dont find nothing wrong dat high school kids are EMT's cause most of the time kids are more active and can respond faster to any situation !

  • this does not help advance EMS as a profession.

  • and what gives you that conclusion. I did the same thing when I was in high school. and went on to make EMS my career. Now I have been an Paramedic for 10 years. In fact I was a paramedic at 19 years old. I could give someone morphine, but I couldn't buy beer.

  • Not sure about at age 16... There is a level of maturity required for this line of work. That being said, I actually graduated High School and finished EMT-Basic training (took practical exam, already had NREMT exam) on the same day. However, in NV you have to be 18 in order to be certified as an EMT or licensed as an ambulance attendant. My first class in college is actually EMT-Intermediate. Never had a problem being an 18-yr old EMT (working a 24 tomorrow) but I look like i'm in my mid 20's.

  • I wish they had that here. I'd eat that shit up.

    (:

  • I am a firefighter/EMT-B in Ohio i think this is a greet idea and i wish they would let us do something like this here

  • People are dumb if they say this is a dumb idea. I am 16 and I am a certified EMT. I ride with my local ambulance company and the patients find nothing wrong with it, and that is what matters.

  • Speaking as a high school drop out, who will very shortly go out into the world as a new EMT-B, I wish this would have been around in my high school, maybe I would not have had to go back for my GED.. TRUST ME, saving lives is an awesome reason to stay in school!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why not! They can performance very well.

  • and not to mention, learning is easier when your young, you can absorb more information... about 1/3 of the ''adults'' dropped out from my class and the other students from my high school passed all with me

  • I am offended to hear the negative response to this video, I am a 2009 graduate from Florence high school AZ, and for your information I am a certified fire fighter 1 and 2 at age 17, I have also completed my EMT training as of yesterday, and am about to take NREMT test, all at the age of 18, and will not only be providing EMS, but fighting structure fires before 19, the only con to this program is the interruption of school time, but your argument that their age interferes with BLS is ignorant

  • As far as the interruption of school.....the kids in this program have high academic standards ...from the Post 53 website "Over 88% of Post 53s young adults are on the honor or high honor roll at Darien High School compared to 50% for the average DHS student body.".

The 17 yr old Charlie in this clip is now in fact a premed college student.

Bottom line not all lessons are taught in the classroom.....many important life lessons cannot be taught in school. These "kids" get an education!

  • This is a GREAT idea!!!!!!!!!

If I were having a heart attack I would not care how old my EMT, nurse or even doctor was as long as they could help me.

As a nation we are willing to treat teens as adults when they take a life (ie send them to adult court/jail) why not let them save lives.

  • It's definitely good for so many reasons. They learn a very important job/life skill that is ALWAYS in-demand. There's a school here that actually has FAA Ground School as part of the curriculum. Yeah, history, math, science and all that are important...but that stuff doesn't get you a job. This kind of thing does.

  • All you people who are saying this is a bad idea, think about this... This is probably a pretty small community. Would you rather let that elderly woman who was having a heart attack have to wait or not get the care she needed or have someone a little younger than normal administer the care? If they passed the training and have the skills, why not? I mean, they are no less capable than a adult. And working in EMS myself, some of those kids seemed a helluva lot more competent than some adults.

  • Also, come on guys... We all know BLS isn't rocket surgery. Its pretty damn easy. I'm insulting myself when I say this as a EMT (to my credit, Im going through Paramedic school) but EMT training is a joke. There is a reason we only get paid $13 a hour at most. Its one step up from having your Boy Scout First Aid Badge. I dont mean to insult the EMTs out there (myself included as a EMT) but these kids are more than able to receive simple BLS training.

  • amen to that. Im a cna in training 25 years of age and a pt volunteer (30hrs a week) at a local hospital and during the summer we have 15-18 year old gals and guys work our units, I work telemetry just got promoted up there from day surgery and I had 2 15 year old gals i was working with whom were taking vitals, feeding and baithing patients doing all the things Im doing and one of them is a licsened cna. so i know what you mean

  • This is bad and even though they are highly trained they dont deserve to be driving and not be taking care of adults.

  • I agree that EMT's need to be at least 18 years old. THIS IS THE LEGAL AGE. Patients sometimes can turn into Plaintiffs. Being an EMT is a very BIG legal obligation and the immature, EXSPECIALLY 16 years of age, mind cannot comprehend. Letting a 16 year old drive an ambulance is very illegal in this state and a mixture for disaster. They tend to escalate the situation!

  • What an asshole. I'm getting my EMT-B as soon as I turn 18 in a few months, and I'll still be in high school. These people have the EXACT same qualifications as any other EMT, and are probably more motivated since they're doing this early.

  • I think that getting your emt while still in school is a little unsafe. Sure they did to to school for it and were obviously well trained to pass boards but the thought of someone that hasn't even graduated dropping a King in me doesn't sound very safe...

  • I've heard of numerous ride-a-long programs before, but when I first saw this story, I got really nervous. The more I thought about it though, I think if the screening process is stringent enough, I'd rather have a 17 year old, that's trying to prove they can do it, working with (or on) me, than a forty year old that's burned out and doesn't care anymore. The trick is getting a 17 year old to operate an emergency vehicle responsibly... ;)

Must be some proud parents too. :D

    Be safe.

  • Being in California and working in Los Angeles County, we are required as of 2007 to be Nationally Registered through the NREMT exam. Here is the catch, once you pass the NREMT exam you don't have to renew it, but you do have to take continuing education courses throughout the year. Each state is different, being that California is such a high profile state with numerous law suits, it is important to withhold the highest expectations and requirements from personnel providing EMS to citizens.

  • Yea, that's true. In addition, in California, you have to be at LEAST 18 to drive an ambulance and even then not all companies are licensed for 18 year olds.

  • Any ideas on starting a program like this in my town?

  • i wish NY had things like this i would love getting my EMT card at 16

  • To be honest riabmot37 i disagree though I do understand you feeling im a recently emtb I like how we have this rule on waiting to your 18 to take the emt written exam and besides there is a grade below emtb known as cfr or certified first responder. What I am trying to say I dont think kids at that age should be trying to become emtb they do have youth corp though in my town which alows them to do ride alongs but i suggest still that every where in the United states should have emtb's at 18

  • Wow, Conneticut has lax laws on emergency medicine. I'm a Michigan EMT and here there must be two lisenced EMT's to man a rig. TO obtaina lisence you must be 18y/o. Granted there are programs where you can ride along on a call, but I seriously think that this is a little rediculuous. Get a diploma first kids.

  • Thank, you I'm not the only one.

  • I agree with you man the same goes for the rules here in n.y. you have to be 18 by the time you take the written final and if you want to be a driver you have to be 21 or older but i think the driver part varies at different corp. in my county

  • I'm willing to bet that those kids you deem incompetent just because of their age (even though they complete the same exact training) would know how to spell licensed*, license*, obtain* and ridiculous*. Let me guess, private ambulance service?

  • Great Program . . .California are more strict with their laws on EMTS. For everyone ask if they are NREMTS . .the answer is NO, but they are CT EMT. Remember they have state certifications and the NR certification. Only thing I'm worry about is 16 year old drivers. A 16 year old going code 3 .. . .ekkk. . I can't remember where it was, but I think it was a 16-17 year old not even going code ended up crashing and killing the patient.

  • me jelous

  • i want to be an EMT. Love helping people.

  • my question is what is there actually cert. NREMT you have to be 18, and every state that i know of also says 18 even for the FR! are they AHA First Aid and CPR certified? and what all are they allowed to do for the pt, what BLS Skills are allowed?

  • so basicaly these students are not NREMT;s because if they are then someone needs to find out why. Nremt has strict guidelines on the age and that is 18. And about the Driving the Ambulance i still dont know what insurance agency would allow a 16 or eve a 18 yr old to drive a emergency vehicle in my state you have to be at least 21 most places and some 23 or 25 for insurance to cover you driving. I think its cool for highschool kids to learn first aid but not work on a ambulance AT ALL!!

  • nobody said theyre NREMTs......in A LOT of northeastern states the minimum age is 16. ive been working as an emt in jersey since i was 16 years old...nothing has stopped me especially my age, from providing care to the fullest extent of my state EMT certification..

they arent allowed to drive either. they have to be 21 to drive. who says highschool kids cant be emts. thats a little ignorant. if they take the course and pass then theyre qualified.

  • does anyone know if they have somthing like this in santa clara california?

    plz reply

  • No hell no. Only thig close is ROP so of heard. You have to be 18 in California for the NREMT and county and state certification,

  • in connecticut no, as long as you hold a valid certification then your fine, certain services might have an age requirement though, due to insurance reasons

  • I am an EMT student is there an age limit to working with an ambulance service

  • I think this is great! I am an instructor in my state & my daughter was a licensed EMT at the age of 16. I would love to see more young people get involved its a very exciting & fulfilling career. Its not for every teenager but with good instructors & mentors a responsible teen can make a difference in their community & with volunteers out numbering paid departments across the country we need good quality responders. Training them young & giving them purpose has a positive impact community wide.

  • OK what the hell, Im assuming that these Teenagers are not Nationaly Registerd EMT's cause to be Nationaly Registerd you have to be 18yrs old. So im guessing their state gives their own test. I dont see anything wrong with young ppl learning first aide or ever riding along on a ambulance. I do belive their is something wrong with them being a emt at a young age. And WHAT INSURANCE COMPANY is stupid enough to let a 16yr old drive a Ambulance or even a 18yr old. Hell i had to be 21 before icould

  • Hey you! It varies by state what age one has to be in order to become a state certified EMT. In Connecticut, that age happens to be 16. And obviously you're not a very good driver.

  • It's 16 in a lot of areas in the northeast. Over here it's 16 to be an interior firefighter as well, as long as you have all the classes under your belt.

Drivers over here have to be 18-21 depending on the department and there insurance.

  • The NREMT is used by the ENTIRE united states so unless they let their NREMT laps they are nationally registared.

  • no not all staes in the us use nremt

  • only because the NREMT doesn't play its cards right and acts like its hot stuff to everyone. So specific states have stopped using NREMT but that means the states EMTS's aren't nationally registered. Unless the emt went out of their way for national registry.

  • ***TO Everyone***

Don't let anything get in your way in that path that you want to take...I currently did a ride a long with my county ambulance and it was awesome..you get a rush of excitment when you hear to ambulance number called...its a job that pays you in a self feeling of accomplishment..take any chances you get to get invovled with EMS.

  • EMT training is a lot longer and more in-depth than a basic first aid course.

  • Oh I see.

  • wow i enjoy all your vids check mine out!

  • There are a variety of good arguments here, but consider this; U can't judge a book by its cover. If U were in need, and the person who came to your aid was 16, are you going to stand there and complain or are you going to get the help you need. As they said, an adult follows along: an expeirenced one. So if something is not done right, they can help. And forget about age when it comes to driving. I have seen many a time an ADULT crash a rig. Training is the same, test is the same. I'm for it.

  • yall arent right im a current ems explorer and i want to be a paramedic one day i think that is great that the town lets them do that i would love to we just do ride alongs and help same thing except we have an als on the truck and really think of it like this one day they will be paramedics and the training that they recieved at 16 will make them so much better in the long run so just think before you run your mouth- Mitch
