If they were gonna do another movie and are gonna put the van in, I suggest the van be just a tricked out military style SUV and not over the top; keep it a simple a**kicking machine. As for directors, why not hire a writer from Marvel who did the series or someone who's had experience with that sorta thing like Frank Miller or the guy's who did the Departed.
Good news guys, The Punisher is FINALLY getting the reboot he so desperately needed, and Marvel FINALLY took the movie rights away from Lionsgate films and gave it to Marvel Studios.
So right now, a Punisher reboot is in the works folks, Keep your eyes and ears open for it sometime in the near future!

This movie really lost it for me during the montage when Jigsaw was amassing an army of gangsters. Why oh why did they have to play that stupid colonial march during that scene? That march combined with Jigsaw's really cartoonish New Yawk accent made the movie seem really stupid.
The Punisher is the only marvel comic character which i can take seriously, the rest are so such cheesy over the top that they only work if your 12years old. Even the comic book doesn't push it that far. Frank Castle is human and only human, never does he punch something and it explodes. If its based off the comics why can he do things he can't do in the comics? That's the peoples main problem with it.
The head exploding made it bad and even more unrealistic then it already was. Its not about realism I know, but the shotgun to the face afterward was more gory and it was a good scene. What sucked about the punch is... you can't fucking bust a guys head right open gushing his brains all over with one punch or any amount really.
I am a Punisher fan, the movie was closer to the comics, but it sucked. Action was fun, some bad action scenes (head exploding from punch, rocket to mid air jump etc..) The villain sucked and overall the acting did too. No memorable scenes. The Russian fight in the 2004 film alone disgraces the warzone film.

Honestly, I think the smart move for reintroducing The Punisher to the movies would be a crossover movie with some of the characters he meets up with a lot in the comics like Spider Man or Wolverine. Think of how awesome a Spidey/Punisher movie would be; Frank could still be violent but Parker would stop him before it gets too gory to keep a PG-13 rating.

I'm a sucker for experimental lighting(multi colored gells, had lights with fast fall off, harsh contrast, etc.) so this film was pure eye candy when i came to the visual style. Overall a fun movie to watch if and only if you turn off your brain with alot of beer and some weed.
I don't get what the critics are going on about this movie. To be straight out, this movie was supposed to show what the Punisher did best... And to be honest, I think this movie did a good job of showing it with the cutting-edge weapons, bad ass fight scenes, and good quality violence. War Zone was a B movie to me. Absolutely ridiculous. That Jigsaw brother was nothing but a fat idiot bald midget, and punisher a complete showoff. Call me Jigsaw! That was one of the emmbarising lines to listen too. It was how Dominic pronownced it. Tom Jane read the script and saw that it was awfal therefore, he did not do the part in this movie. Even the comic book doesn't push it that far. Frank Castle is human and only human, never does he punch something and it explodes. If its based off the comics why can he do things he can't do in the comics? That's the peoples main problem with it.

The head exploding made it bad and even more unrealistic then it already was. Its not about realism I know, but the shotgun to the face afterward was more gory and it was a good scene. What sucked about the punch is... you can't fucking bust a guys head right open gushing his brains all over with one punch or any amount really.

I am a Punisher fan, the movie was closer to the comics, but it sucked. Action was fun, some bad action scenes (head exploding from punch, rocket to mid air jump etc..) The villain sucked and overall the acting did too. No memorable scenes. The Russian fight in the 2004 film alone disgraces the warzone film.

Omg finally somebody whos awake. I luv the punisher. And i think that this movie was over rated. I think that if tom jane was back for this one then i think everybody would hav enjoyed it. Tom jane admitted he read many comics of punisher, and new the character. Micro chip and ray in this movie, and the cops and detective soap, all made it sound like they had a huge passed with eachother and that he hadnt begun, but was way late in his career! Honestly, I think the smart move for reintroducing The Punisher to the movies would be a crossover movie with some of the characters he meets up with a lot in the comics like Spider Man or Wolverine. Think of how awesome a Spidey/Punisher movie would be; Frank could still be violent but Parker would stop him before it gets too gory to keep a PG-13 rating.

Most people don't like Warzone because most see it as just a slaughterfest. What they don't understand is that this was made for the comic book fans, such as myself. I liked Warzone better than the 2004 film because it actually followed the comics, and I was really satisfied as a Punisher fan.

They clearly indicated the death of Castle's family. They were killed at a picnic, like in the comics. In the 2004 movie, it shows his family being murdered at a family reunion, which I DO NOT recall from the comics. That's all the story I need. I can't believe you people are taking this film so seriously.

I agree with you alot on this film. The script is horrible,the director did a terrible job with this film and the acting is awful. Also,this is just me but the action is just stupid and disgusting. I turned this stupid movie off after 30 minutes of watching it.
To me, I think Thomas Jane did a really good job playing the role of The Punisher and that the 2004 Punisher movie is much better.

I like Lionsgate. For the fact that they make a lot of B movies that give some newer people chances and sometimes spawn sequels of better quality if not instant classics. I.E. Saw
I liked this movie. The thing with The Punisher is you can take it from a lot of different angles and portray it a lot of different ways. Tom Jane was more of the storyline kinda Frank. While Ray was the "IM GONNA FUCK EVERYTHING UP" kinda Frank. (Dolph...well)

First off, you haven't read the comics.This movie is just like the comics. The director(even though she sucks) made the best Punisher movie that is most like the comics. I mean the lighting and mood is like the comics. The Punisher is serious all the time and wtf did you say there wasnt enough action? I'm a sucker for experimental lighting(multi colored gells, had lights with fast fall off, harsh contrast, etc.) so this film was pure eye candy when i came to the visual style. Overall a fun movie to watch if and only if you turn off your brain with alot of beer and some weed.

I don't get what the critics are going on about this movie. To be straight out, this movie was supposed to show what the Punisher did best... And to be honest, I think this movie did a good job of showing it with the cutting-edge weapons, bad ass fight scenes, and good quality violence. This is my favorite movie, so to hell with all you critics out there. Go ruin some other movie with your bias shit.

War Zone was a B movie to me. Absolutely ridiculous. That Jigsaw brother was nothing but a fat idiot bald midget, and punisher a complete showoff. His knives cuts heads, his punches destroy skulls, and god i hate so much that first scene where he hangs shooting in every direction: they confused Frank Castle with Antonio Banderas.
2004 movie wasn't a very good movie but a lot better than this crap. I'm even doubting about Dolph Lundgren's one being better tan War Zone!

Call me Jigsaw! That was one of the emmbarising lines to listen too. It was how Dominic pronownced it. Tom Jane read the script and saw that it was awfal therefore, he did not do the part in this movie. Which was good for him, because his reputation in movies will not be too high if he makes a crappy movie. The Punisher made in 2004 was way better than this movie. I give this movie a 0/10. Now, I love the Thomas Jane movie. So I'm biased, granted. But this movie was... Just... There aren't words that can describe just how bad it is.
I liked Hooligans. But for Christ's sakes, how can so many idiots (I take it back, I respect Ray and Dominic, still) make such a bad movie and be proud of it?

The Punisher movie that was with Thomas Jane was amazing, even though the one I watched was the t.v edit version. Only thing I like about Loinsgate is the Rambo series, other then that, nothing.
