  • 10 people who disliked this video are CBS Lawyers !

  • What a great movie, what a great performances...

  • "And you are a volunteer executive producer". LOL

  • I really love this film! I just saw the film Puncture, which made me think of The Insider. Chris Evans plays the lead as a drug addicted lawyer who discovers the questionable arrangements between hospitals and needle manufacturers that create a monopoly and keep out new innovations. The lawyer is fighting to get hospitals to use new safety needles that would prevent thousands of injuries a year. I was a really great performance by Evans and a wonderful film. . bitly. com/uFKgzC

  • This is what great movies should be about. A script which relies heavily on character to character interaction as opposed to brainless action sequences; fantastic actors directing impeccably; and a highly convincing plot.

  • He's famous as the Godfather and as Scarface, but this underrated movie is my favorite Al Pacino role.

  • hey 10 dislikers obey orders press "Like " and fuck off ..

  • my second favorite movie

  • the bad thing is,there's no journalist like pacino's character in the real world...

  • Pacino, Hall, Tobolowsky, and Plummer. Three really good actors in one scene. Epic.

  • awesom scene go Pacino! The Insider is a masterpiece

  • ghjg

  • ghjg

  • "Are you questioning our journalistic integrity ?"

    " No I'm questioning your hearing "

    Al is the best.

  • oooh little inconsistancy 2:16, can anyone spot it?

  • One of my favourite rants ever

  • I cant believe he didn't get a best actor nomination for this at least, for god sake the film was nominated for countless awards and somehow it lost to American Beauty, The Insider absolutely deserved best picture, best screenplay, best director Michael Mann and best supporting actor Russel Crow for sure, but how could Al Pacino not get even be nominated for it? he deserved that at least.

  • @Godzilla52 big tabacco

  • alpa chino... are we loadeeedd?!!

  • This is a really really really great speech .. His sound is just so mesmerizing!

  • don't just walk away Al, continue your rant from (Glenn garry Glenn ross) starting with "you stupid fucking cunt!"

  • Great, serious, well-crafted, well-made, well-written, well-acted and important movie. And it lost Best Picture to what ? American Beauty. WTF.

  • He's good here because he actually has material to act with. Usually it's the Al Pacino Show where he rants and raves to little effect.

  • glads this video is up, by far my favourite scene from the film!

  • If Eddie Murphy is known as'the fuck u man'.then Al-Pacino should be,'HOO HAA!FUCK YOU.... MAN'

  • Nobody can say fuck better than Pacino.

  • @thelupoistheman1 :) you should check out George Carlins' "FUCKS". They are awesome!

  • it would be cool if Lowell Bergman(Al Pacino) really said that to 60 minutes Executive Producer Don Hewitt(Philip Baker Hall)

  • Don't even trust Wikileaks. Trust yourself. Great scene! Most journalists (i'm still studying) i know, good friends of mine, want to quit their jobs because theres NO such thing as freedom of press. If you work for an 'important' newspaper you most likely get fucked. The pay is probly not that bad but its mostly bullshit what you write... We need journalists like Hunter S. Thompson ! Freelance FTW

  • @texasB666 The Govern says that our countries (wherever you are, Usa or Europe) are free, we are in a free country, such a lie some people still believe in it. Watching this movie you can imagine how far the arms of the law are when money appears on the table. Regards from Spain.

  • @Rainbowriteme Absolutely. But it should not drive your life, you know? It shouldn't get to you if you know what i mean. You won't find the truth on the internet cause theres lots of 'internet-propaganda' aswel. It's like what aldous huxley talked about. The internet (for lots of people) has become some sort of a comfort factor. people feel good by blaming all the bad shit on the elites that control everything. I'm pretty sure NO ONE is in control. That is even scarier :)

  • @Rainbowriteme But anyway, no. There is no such thing as democracy. It never was and never will. Plato called it a 'theatrocracy'. Which means its all a show for people who want to be controlled by 'leaders'. Become your own leader. I really believe concepts like permaculture and anarchism are very intelligent ideas which haven't even been tried on this planet. Damn shame...

  • @texasB666 Anarchism is an utopy in a world with evil I prefer Comunism, but anyway a few people will pretend to have more and more than the others. Sorry its hard explain it with a basic level of language but I think yo can understand whay I want to say.

  • @Rainbowriteme yes, i do :)

  • Give me a Fucking break !!!

    Damn love this phrase.

  • Man, you can literally SEE Al's character's heart drop out of his chest when he hears what a sell-out his hero has become. Epic.

  • i dont get why he walks out!! can anybody explain??????????????

  • @MalachHamoves77 Because without Mike's support, he knew that his complaints would fall on deaf ears.

  • @metafact No, that's not why, it's because he just found out his hero, Mike Wallace, is a sell-out and he's shocked and his heart is broken, that's why he walks out, because he's speechless.

  • @Shelby596 I'd say it's for both of our reasons, but yeah, that too.

  • @metafact thank you

  • why are these 60 minutes interviews sooo hard to find on youtube?

  • my favorite scene of the film

  • When I first heard of this movie, I watched it because I heard it had Christopher Plummer and Al Pacino together...can't go wrong with that

  • Great film, and speech by Al Pacino, i don't why he wasn't nominated for an Oscar for this film.

  • I mean Collateral

  • This is why we have Wikileaks...

  • 'I'm not implying, I'm quoting.'

  • Oh my god just finished watching this movie tonight. Holy Shit! What a great film. Michael Mann you continue to amaze me. Collateral and Heat were epic and so was the Insider. suuuuuuchhh a good movie!

  • Brown and Williamson OWNED Kenneth Starr..that is 'own' as in 'they owned his sorry ass!"

  • and if I could say one more thing...I'D TAKE A FLAMETHROWER TO THIS PLACE!!!

  • Thanks for posting the high quality video chico31. :)

  • at least nominees Best Supporting Actor for Oscar!!!

  • from the quote "Before you go" til the end, for me is the essence of epicness .... i watched this movie yesterday on netflix, and i have to say this scene i had to play 3 times, ... love Al and his acting, so much truth!

  • lol face change at 3:57. this is a great film!

  • One of the most underrated movies ever

  • @lennyd44 from one of the most underrated directors ever...almost everything he's directed is a masterpiece...

  • @amagginas all his movies except ali are atleast 10/10 imo

  • @lennyd44 I agree

  • Comment removed

  • and there my friends... went the first decade of the 21st millenium.

  • there's no such thing as a "best pacino scene ever" ...this is pacino we're talking about...every fucking second he's on the screen is the best scene ever...period!!!!

  • How come Christopher Plummer hasnt been awarded an oscar yet? wtf?

  • @wreyoG because he was playing a "sellout".

  • @MpowerdAPE not the reply i was looking for but thanks :D

that doesnt say anything about oscars though...a lot of "sell out " roles have won oscars in the past..he was brilliant in this...

    peace

  • Fucking brilliant, period. This film is remarkable.

  • Floyd Yandoli Boogie Nights! Tape is the future, Jack...

  • Fuck politics! Have the backbone to stand up for what you believe and say it loud!

  • @csmelen that is the whole point of the movie, the cost is real, the road is long, and the payoff... may never come.

  • @csmelen i agree i do stand up for what is believe in.... love al pachino the best actor ever!!!! brillant movie

  • Architecture 101- They are NOT in the CBS building; first they bow to big tobacco, then to clueless art directors...!

  • Great moviei great act.

  • For me,just Marlon Brandon and Paul Newman were better than Pacino.Well, they're dead,so... ;)

  • we know now from whom chris wallace got his "sell out" gene.

mike fucked his legacy with those four simple words, and he deserved it.

  • Is there anyone better than Pacino alive today? I can't think of one. Kudos!

  • this is one of the best performance ever...MAGIC

  • "Cut Wigand loose, obey orders and fuck off... That's what I hear". :)

  • amazing

  • what a great rant! true story loved it!

  • Pacino, russel crowe & plummer together!!! Awesome. One of the best business movie ever...

  • "Are you a journalist or are you a newsman??" He is the BEST

  • GR8 speech here...classic

  • One of his many great speeches. He is a master in this. He puts so much emotion in it, it graps you, it convinces you and leaves you amazed.

  • Beautyfull movie, unforgettable and drammatic, but 'real'. Superb the performance of all cast: Al, Crowe and Penn...

  • Mr. Murrow would be proud.

  • "- What got broken here... doesn't go back together again."

    "- These things have a half-life of 15 minutes.

    - No, that's fame. Fame has a 15-minute half-life. Infamy lasts a little longer."

  • One of the best movies ever, seriously underrated.

  • @TheLunaDivider112 no way!! the insider isnt underrated at all...everyone i know loves it...also check some movie sites and you'll see that it's rated as one of the greatest movies ever...i know it s one of MY faves..

    peace

  • Best Movie Ever !!! 5/5

  • luv when pacino walks out after disappointment - great acting...

  • @SullenMorbius I agree with you. That's great acting: the silences are as powerful as the ranting.

  • Just saw this movie .. very good.

  • Al Pacino rules!.

IS IT NEWS WORTHY? yes it is.

ARE WE GONNA ARE IT? of course not.

  • what did he say at 3:58 ?

  • Ï'm with don on this !".

  • Well... it seems that Christopher Plummer is the only man in the history of movies who has ever been able to interrupt a good Pacino rant ^^

  • Al Pacino is the man.

  • best move ive ever seen

  • Ned's trying to sell insurance again........

  • I actually did Al Pacino's monologue from this scene for a talent agency audition last Wednesday and should know tomorrow whether or not I've been accepted so wish me luck, guys! :)

  • Good luck I'm sure you nailed it....Break a leg.

  • One of the most underrated films I've ever seen.

Great performance from Pacino and Crowe.

  • Pacino was perfect here. Crwe should have got an oscar, not Spacey.

  • @nomartini1,

Love both Spacey and Crowe, but Crowe got robbed. Once again, the 1998 and 1999 Oscars fucked up with both Best Picture and Best Actor. And Crowe AGAIN got screwed two years later. What the fuck does the guy have to do to get another Oscar, suck the president's dick?

  • Shit yeah, Stephen Tobolowski is my homeboy.

  • Hes my fav actor.....

  • Does he go on television and tell the truth? YES!

    Is it news worthy? YES!

Are we gonna air it?....Of course not.

    Brilliant script and acting

  • he was awesome in godfather 2 if not so much godfather 1. but he's good in most movies he's in. I also like when the big lawyer screams at the little lawyer in this movie.

  • @mawhar oh yeah! you're talking about when he says, "You don't get to instruct anything around here. This ain't North Carolina, not South Carolina, nor Kentucky, this is the sovereign state of Mississippi! WIPE THAT SMIRK OFF YOUR FACE!" that scene, right? :)

  • WOOOW!!!!!!!!! Al Pacino is amazing. ( and if I do say so myself he is the best looking actor in the world)

  • hows pacinos expression changes at the end when his partner says hes with the other guy is amazing, amazing acting

  • This is the best scene of the movie. When I first rented it I re-watched this scene alone like twelve times.

  • 'Tortious interference?' That sounds like a disease caught by a radio.

  • Keep it up !!!

    Be Good !!!

  • Michael Mann and Al Pacino make an AMAZING tearm.

Although was that Ned from Groundhog day?? Kept thinking he was going to sell me life insurance! :-)

  • BING!!!

  • Watch out for that first step......

  • lol suprafan, watchout for that first step, it's a doozie

  • nah its definitely not the best performance by al, very very good but not the best...maybe of the films that you´ve seen...... go and see godfather part II (I), dog day afternoon or serpico

  • dog day afternoon!

  • ive seen scent of a woman , and i got merchant of venice at home but didnt watch it yet lol xD...will do it in the next few days ;)

  • Al PAcino's moral convictions further more Al Pacino's moral integrity is like the Iron wall, nothing can pass thro it,nothing.............

  • Agreed. He was amazing in Scent of a Woman though!

  • i never cared for the godfather movies

  • great movie, very real and fine performances. i think its the best performance ive ever seen from Pacino!

  • That's the only thing Bergman could have done...just walk out of the office...Mike Wallace had just cut him off at the knees.

  • Story, No story, fuck your story!

  • Tell him in these words, "Get on the fucking phone!"

  • is that?

It is trick me, nevery seen before.

  • "it´s not a rumour, it´s a sale"

    "I´m not implying, I´m quoting"

Such great writing, directing and acting.

Crowe was brilliant in this film.

  • very good ending...is that jack bauer??? at the end

  • "You're questioning our integrity...NO, I'm questioning your hearing..." lol.

  • pacino a genius, michale mann genius and they are both old generation from the 20 century,in the worse time ever in the most violent difficult ending of an era great geniuses great minds came to us.

  • one of three brilliant confrontation scenes in this movie......wigand lawyer vs. tobacco lawyer, 60 minutes producer vs. cbs news executives (this), mike wallace vs. cbs lawyer. watch the entire film, it's brilliant!

  • Is that Mr. Bookman?? the library cop?

  • Yep, he also doubles as a serious actor. ;)

  • Great movie. Very nice directing by Mann. Very unusual angles sometimes but he makes it work. I saw this movie today and I always thought gladiator was Crowe's best performance but I have changed my mind. This was his best performance! And I know it's gonna upset alot of people but Crowe was imo better than Pacino in this movie.

  • LOVE IT. Michael Mann is the best director.

He is brilliant and so is Pacino.

  • This is a great film - Fantastic acting and a stunning score. Michael Mann is a genius.

  • Michael Mann is a genius

  • "Lowell... Lowell! I'm with Don on this one."

    Ouch!

  • "Gimme a fuckin' break!"....lol

  • One of Pacino's best!

  • SO TRUE!!!

  • And another thing... this movie..... this scene..... dynamite, absolute dynamite!

  • I remember seeing in theaters. I was one of about five people in the theater. Glad to see it has accrued an audience over time. This is one of Michael Mann's best. And this speech is the one used in the trailer that sells the movie.

  • Comment removed

  • I have yet to see this movie, but I have always been of the state of mind that Pacino gives the best speeches. His voice can just capture you and make you say wow.

  • The Insider is a brilliant movie, 5 star rating, but i think Manhunter is Michael Mann's best movie.

    1. Manhunter

    2. The Insider

    3. Heat

    4. Thief

    5. Collateral

    6. The Last Of The Mohicans

  • "It's not a rumor, it's a sale."

    "I'm not implying, I'm quoting."

    great lines!

  • al pacino is an anarchist!!

fuck yeah the greatest scene in this movie!!

  • You just cost me 6000 dollarz...6000.. THOUSAND.. DOLLARZ.. and one Cadillac.

  • everyone in this scene is extraordinary! Pacino's look when Plummer says "I'm with Don on this"!

  • 0:36 , 4:01 Scene for Workshop

  • THIS MOVIE IS THE BEST

  • "Jeffery Wigand who's out on a limb, does he go on television and tell the truth? Yes. Is it NEWSWORTHY? Yes. Are we gonna air it? Of course not? Why? Because he's not telling the truth? No. Because he is telling the truth. That's why we're not gonna air it. And the more truth he tells, the worse it gets!"

    Brilliant! 5****

  • This is one of my favorites with Al Pacino...I've watched this many many times, and never get tired of his performance, nor of Russell Crowe either.

  • My favorite scene is when Mike Wallace has the big angry speech in the office.

"Fifty fucking years I've been with this company!..."

  • Heat was also terrific. My favorite of Mann's is collateral. Mann's best films are, The Insider, The Thief, Manhunter, The Last of the Mohicans, Heat, and Collaterl

  • Don't get offended, but my favourite movie of all time is Heat.

  • Great film and great speech!
