  • Salomon Gundie is a dialectic corruption of an English word 'Salmagundi' which stems from an early 17th century type of English salad. Over time 'salmagundi' came to mean 'a bit of everything'.

  • @slessorpr Right ! and the english word comes itself from the french word Salmigondis, a stew made with rewarmed meat ;-)
