I just bought one on ebay it hasnt arrived yet though. I bought it for skype since my dad goes to england a lot and i cant talk to him except on skype but i just want to know if your able to connect it to skype?
You can chose where the sound "comes out": Either through a head phone jack on the side of the part of the iKaraoke that plugs in to the iPod of you can use an FM transmitter like we did and broadcast the signal to a radio close by.
Actually, what you are describing is what happens when you use vocal cancellation no matter what system you use. It's not the iKaraoke that's faulty - it's just very hard to cancel out vocals. The technology basically filters out the frequencies lead vocals are usually found on. Our test showed that the vocal canceling works best on newer songs: Using it on Frank Sinatra had ZERO effect.
Wiv vocals on, u hear the song normal. But wiv vocals off the song is distorted; its quality is clearly inferior 2 tht of the original song. It's lyk ur listenin 2 a cd player wiv many blankets wrapped around it. However bad that is, it dus nuthin 2 prepare u 4 the atrocity tht is the vocals turned off. U hear strnge distorted vocals in the bckground. The entire bass range seems 2 b kncked out. @ least wiv vocals on, the quality degradation appeared 2 b spread out ova the whole spectrum.

It's a karaoke machine, not a video chatting device, so no.
