  • There is no scientific proof of "God".

Since I'm probably going to get the "prove God doesn't exist" line, before anybody gives it to me, expecting a response, they should:

    1. Prove that "He" does exist without using that dumb book.

    2. Try a little skepticism instead of absorbing what they are told.

    3. Think about the advantages that creating a successful religion has: power over others, fame, tribute to a god that can be appropriated.

Then I will consider reading what they have to say.

  • what

  • This is an awesome commercial. If we had more of His love demonstrated in the earth, this world would be a better place. That's what God wants his children to do,demonstrate to others His love for them.

  • This commercial doesnt make sense, who is it advertising to? God? Asking for him to give us more love?

What are we supposed to do about this, we cant just take the love? It has to come down to us from rainbows and hearts and stuff.

  • What's up with they OBEY sticker at the start of the commercial?

  • Awesome message Mr. Miller! Thank you for your efforts!

  • Shepard Fairey approve you guys using his "Obey" image in your propaganda?

And that's not what scientist meant by "God particle"

  • yeah , hes goin for that CHRISTIAN VALUES market.. jimbo,

yessir , thats a BIG MARKET RIGHT THUR..

TL:DR hurrrr maybe if i put god enough in commercial maybe it'll sell better DURR

cause we all know THIS IS A NAYSHUN OF GOD derpadurrr

  • Mr. Opportunity @ 0:55

  • wow

I'm amazed to see something so special as this on TV.

everything is about god and yet the tv doesn't show that, but this commercial did.

well done. i commend you interstate battery company!!!!

  • I love it! What a pleasant surprise!

What I find interesting is that things or topics like this always bring out the unbelievers. It would appear that they just might be searching for something... and God bless them in their search. Well, do know this... God is real! Just believe and you will see! No one is born a believer... you are born again, once you do!

  • I love the concept of this commercial! So happy to see one like this out there.

  • Awesome commercial and the best car batteries! Thanks for making it and please keep running it.

  • What does this have to do with batteries?

  • For God so loved the world that he created the Ebola virus, so that those he loved could decompose while they were still alive, enduring unimaginable agony for days before death.

  • @TheSmackerlacker thats Satans handywork not Gods.

  • 71 people need to have a prayer said for them. Help me out guys!

  • Look at the historical evidence and you will find your proof that there is a God in heaven that so love the world!

Joh 1:12 But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name,

    Is this a great promise!

  • I want to make this video viral. God is so good to us. Its not a religion, its a relationship. God loves us and we need to spread that love. :)

  • @CrazyBabyDuck Amen to that!

  • Interesting, there is some irony in this commercial as it seems to employ a sort of "negative theology." That is the idea that today is an era when things are darker or more degenerate than an imagined past (symbolized by much of the '50s looking "Golden Age of USA" type stuff in the commercial) and the only way "forward" is to return to these values, ushering in a new golden era. It's a very simplistic summary of a simplistic belief, but you get the idea.

  • i clicked this thinking it was Bad Religion- God's Love.....i was not correct.

  • I love it...spreading the love of Christ!!!

  • Wait a sec! I just bought a Costco battery! Is that why God doesn't love me anymore? Crap!

  • God is gay for Milhouse

  • At least it's promoting love instead of some BS like anti-homosexuality. However, as an atheist, I still think it's degrading to all of mankind imply that one requires the thoughts of an imaginary being to be nice. But I won't complain. They could have taken the commercial in many different directions. A secularly-accepted message (save for the God part) is as good as one could ask. It's still a step in the right direction compared to most, especially political, commercials.

  • The commercial was beautiful. But.. it was weird seeing a business ad after it.

  • Norm Miller is Chairman of Interstate Batteries headquartered in Dallas, TX. He is a firm believer in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. I've met him on occasion, and he's the genuine article. He is not using Christianity to sell batteries. Norm has founded numerous side-ministries including this one and I Am Second. Interstate Batteries corporate culture does not shy away from its stated mission, to glorify God in their business practices and in the world.

  • Who said God caring about a battery had anything to do with this commercial? Do you see anyone in the commercial trying and struggling to start their car?? Then praying and driving off??? No. So what Mr. Miller used his greenbacks to inform. So what he's a chairman for a battery company. What if he had worked for a hair color company. You people gonna say that God cares about the color of our hair being full and vibrant?? I bet you would. Try again, pessimistic masses.

  • Wow! That was a strong statement. Thank you Mr. Miller for having the Faith and Strength, from above and within, to spread God's Love through a TV commercial! Maybe Bill, Donald and Warren might follow your example. I know they give, but let's see which side of the "Line" they stand! God Bless you Mr. Miller and God Bless America!

  • We need more of God's love to sell batteries.

  • This great keep them coming very sutle and very effective

  • I thank God for this commercial..He will be greatly blessed for it and his business will not suffer at all..matter of fact there will be an increase..and other companies will join in..

  • No more interstate batteries for my car and boat. Let's see how well god does when he loses his customers.

  • Saw this commercial on TV again. Makes me want to throw up; but, it probably came from a good place. Even though "God's love" is an oxymoron, I don't think this was meant as a jab at non-Christians. So, thumbs up for Norm.

  • God created polio, science cured it. God created small-pox, science cured it. God created leprosy, science cured it. God created 2 million illnesses, virusses, parasites, science found cures for many. God created infertility, science created in-vitro, and an estimated 15 million lives. God`s lifespan was 45 years, science doubled it. 100.000 innocent children died a horrible death, beneath the rubble of their houses in Haiti. The allmighty didn``t lift a finger to help. Glory to god !!!

  • @lizazoon so who gave the scientist the ability to the viruses? who gave humanity the ability to have a longer life spa? Who saved thousands of other lives of those who survived? who gave the people strength to save those people? Before you say god didn't do anything look deeper cause behind everything you just said there is something bigger.

  • @afmuzic to my knowledge scientists and people who want to help other people, god should not be the reason you help people, that doesn't show you are a good person, do it because you want to, just because you don't believe in god doesn't mean you can't look after or lover one another, go shove your bible thumping asses somewhere else.

  • @Firestarthe your right god shouldn't be the reason to be a good person you should be a good person because you want to. not once did i said in order to be a good person you need god. a couple of my best friends are atheist and 2 of my friends are wiccan and they're great people. i was just say before you completely deny everything...think..... by the way definition of bible thumper is -a Christian fundamentalist, or an over-zealous evangelical Christian.... i was saying think...

  • @Firestarthe also maybe you shouldn't be shoving you atheist propaganda on a Christian video

  • @afmuzic just providing balance.

  • @lizazoon

After science did all that to improve the lives of so many, we are left with overpopulation and starvation because of the doubled lifespan to the point which we cannot stop it. 100,000 children died in Haiti and it's absolutely horrible, but how many has science killed because of abortions since 1973. How many children are living in gangs and shooting their peers because their parents aren't there or just don't care? We've done so much damage that we don't know what's right anymore.

  • @swpalomar correct. and only when we remove religion from the governing of societies will we be able to move forward as one group of people, and fix the horrible situation that organised religion has led us to.

  • @nuberiffic When/if that ever happens we will have lost all sense of morality, which has already started happening. Look at 40 or even 20 years ago versus today. Parents expect schools or other children to raise and teach they're own children what is right and wrong and we end up with school shootings and gang wars everywhere. Society will move forward for a time, then it will begin destroying itself and the US will essentially restart in 1775 with groups looking for a new government with God...

  • @swpalomar why do you think morality comes from god?

you do know the usa was founded on explicitly secular terms don't you?

  • @nuberiffic I think that when the argument for morality comes from the idea that morality comes from God regardless if you believe in him or not. He is the source of objective moral values as opposed to a human subjective morality.

  • @Evanation if you believe that, and you wish for everyone else to follow this morality, you need to demonstrate;

-that it is in fact morally correct, and,

    -that god exists.

So far neither of these have been achieved.

  • @nuberiffic yoooo

ok, well first off, i'm not personally a fan of commercials or vids pandering to people. i get the good intention but i'm not cool with it and the often cheesy way these things look and this has generally been the western style of "Christianity".

As an Eastern Orthodox all these discussions of God and these scholarly chess games have never been and issue. I can talk to you about my thoughts on what u said. just not here. not enough space. private message me. i'd rather not here

  • @nuberiffic it is interesting how ppl like urself comes to youtube to speak of religion as the cause of all evil. i do however see whatyou mean, i just rather focus my thoughts on the other million lives being saved in the name of God by religious organization. on almost 100 000 misionaries from a christian denomination called Seventh Day Adventist being led by one of its leaders Jose Vicente Rojas who also works in the White House.

  • @nuberiffic and the great amount of Hospitals, thousands of them, in the poorest places all over the world substained by christian denominations..

lets talk about how a small group of "religious" fanatics cause harm to ppl and not how millions of others have moe to thank other religious ppl than to blame them for. it is a good exmaple of falacy composition to asume that becuase a small group of ppl cause harm to others in the name of religion, religion must be the cause of all evil

  • @ruthgervis true, christians have built hospitals, but they are run like churches with first aid kits, not hospitals.

I never said religion makes people do bad things, it does however give good people a reason to do and justify bad things.

Give me one example of anti-homosexuality or anti-evolution that does not stem from a religious mind.

  • @lizazoon Oh poor lost ship.>:) Is this video too deep for you? You're obviously too dumb to understand it.

  • Listen to me! You have to consider the possibility that God does not like you, never wanted you, and in all probability, he HATES you. It's not the worst thing that can happen.....

    We don't NEED Him!

Fuck damnation, man! Fuck redemption! We're God's unwanted children, SO BE IT!

  • @Tommy9834 We do need him and he has always wanted us Tommy. He showed this when he sent Christ. We all have the chance of being with him like he always wanted. God could have completly destroyed us, but out of love he's giving a choice and not forcing us. God hates sin not the sinner. Nobody is unwanted. God loves/wants all of us. We are God's children if we choose to be by turning from our sins and trusting the son. I'm sorry for whatever this world has done for you to speak for God this way.

  • @nibblesann I was quoting from a movie lol. But I didn't just post that quote cause I thought it was clever, but do agree with that. We don't know if God, assuming for the sake of argument that he exists, actually loves us, he has done some pretty fucked up things to mankind (killing innocent children, ruining an innocent and faithful man's life, just to prove a point to Satan, flooding the whole world cause Mr.All-Powerful and All-Knowing, was too lazy to pick out the good people from the bad.)

  • ..AMEN!

  • so call god dose not exist it is a con so the Vatican can make a fortune off of people

  • God bless you!!! This is what we need in the world today!!!!!

  • 48 people are islamic and hate peace.

  • this just shows us that we truly do need more of God's love in our lives, so we can minster to others....if you don't believe me....please feel free to read those awful comments below....

  • fuck you and your god

  • fuck you and fuck your god.

  • @Sambucacat I can't even imagine why you would say something like that!!! Why do you do that!!!!!? God sent His Son do die for you and offered Salvation to you, but you have to accept it and you may go to Heaven for eternity instead of Hell. Why would you say such a thing?!!!

  • @Big. Your god is a infanticidal tyrant.

  • @Sambucacat YOU HEATHEN!!

  • @nintenoangel101 You Theist!

  • @Sambucacat Thank you. I'll take that as a compliment.

  • @nintenoangel101 fuck you too.

  • Comment removed

  • @nintenoangel101 No problem, fuck you.

  • @Sambucacat Whatever. I'm going to go watch touch by an angel now, so bye.

  • @nintenoangel101 Touched right THERE by an angel?

  • @Sambucacat Umm no. I suggest you try watching it, because if you still hate god even after you watch that show, well then, that make's you heartless, and I feel sorry for you. Poor soul.

  • @nintenoangel101 Touched right THERE by an angel? eewwwwwww!

  • If interstate batteries supports christ, then i support them in their endeavors.

  • @claptonstratgreen1 I believe in Christ but heck I'd support interstate batteries even if they just supported God lol

  • fuck you god.

  • @Sambucacat DON'T EVER SAY THAT AGAIN!!! Your dumb!

  • @SpartanLeader45 If I'm dumb. You're dumber, you misspelled you're or you are.

  • I think this is a little more accurate: An aberrant crack as skeletons yield To unrelenting gravity While viruses prowl for helpless victims Who succumb rapidly Tell me; where is the love? In a careless creation When theres no above Theres no justice Just a cause and a cure And a bounty of suffering It seems we all endure And what Im frightened of Is that they call it Gods love
  • Thanks for the great idea put into a very nice commercial, Norm!

Next time, make mine an Interstate!

  • i loved this commercial thanks and keep up the good work

  • This commercial is a shameless attempt to use religion as a selling appoint, and unfortunately most Americans are dumb enough to buy it. Interstate and Christians, this commercial is an insult to you both.

  • @AuntJermimah

You sound like one of those bitter anti-religionist twits.

Your own worst punishment is yourself, drowning in your own bitterness.

  • @PinkOld

Quite the opposite actually. I love Jesus enough that I don't think he should be made into a commercial, that's all. Most of these "Christians" are to dumb to realize that's what they're doing.

  • @AuntJermimah

No, you are just another bigot, and your dripping condescension for Christians only gives that away.

    Thanks for playing, though.

  • @AuntJermimah

Oh, and I forgot to add that you sound like a major league bigot.

  • a Great response to try to reach people. Maybe not the most effective but aleast he is trying to help people, plant seed, and lead them in the right direction.

  • Good commercial, but very incomplete. What today's society really needs is a healthy realization that God is to be FEARED.

Proverbs 16:6 says "and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil"

And Proverbs 1:7 says that the FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

Yes, God does love us and doesn't want us to go to Hell. But He's also Holy and cannot allow sin into Heaven, and therefore if we do not repent and submit to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we're going to hell.

  • Interesting. Religion aside, from a marketing perspective, this commercial could be successful. People will talk about this, will post video reactions, may even blog about it, for christs sake (no pun intended). Debates will ensue...everything leading back to Interstate Battery. The point is, it got our attention, whereas, most other car battery commercials fail to do so. Innovative advertising move. Furthermore, humans should treat each other with more kindness and respect. --A train out

  • Wonderful message! It's God's love that helps us want to be good. He, our Heavenly Father, is like the sun energizing our earth or garden, or a battery energizing our car. He sent His son, Jesus Christ, out of His love for us.

  • Why not be good for goodness sake?

  • god doesn't care about your car.

  • lmao agreed. WTF does God have to do with car batteries.

  • .....unfortunately......I work for these people. I have been wondering the same thing since before the commercial aired.

  • Thanks ^^

  • im so glad someone finally gets it. we need God's love in our society or it will crumble beneath us. whether you like it or not this country was founded on biblical principles and we must return to that if we are to survive. prayer is the only thing keeping this great nation alive.

  • Haha ya I know, I just said this isn't the place to argue. But spread the word whenever you can my friend :)

  • So God's the one responsible for your battery using it's last bit of juice to do it's job?

I find it hard to believe that God's taking the time to fix your car battery because you prayed to him, while the people dying of famine in Africa pray for food and he does nothing.

Your car battery must be much higher on his list than the 100,000s of people dying over there every year. Same goes for your fan belt I suppose.

  • @dimensiont

You take the tired old Bill Maher attitude about the Lord.

Look, you are ascribing human limitations to God.

I've got a clue for you.

God has all the power and time necessary to answer all prayers (sometimes yes, and other times no, by the way), be they great cataclysms or a nearly dead car battery.

  • @PinkOld

That doesn't answer my question. If he has the time and power, why doesn't he? I imagine that dead car batteries have much more to do with human limitations than famine and drought do, so what does human limitations have to do with what I said?

  • @dimensiont

You won't trip me up with that tired "why does so much evil go on, while the good people get stomped" garbage.

Allow me to repeat it: Sometimes the answer is YES, sometimes NO.

Sometimes the answer is a long time coming, but there is always a purpose behind it, even though we are unable to see it in the short run.

I consider it the height of arrogance to second guess the Lord's will, and I say that as someone who has only recently been shown the answer after the ultimate tragedy.

  • @PinkOld There's much more arrogance in assuming what you know is right. What I ask is why God decided to help a trucker with a dead battery to help him deliver his load on time, while he could have just as easily helped a whole village with a bit of rain? Why are so many there suffering, while we attest our million dollar earnings to him? Why is he even bothering to help those who have it well when there's others who need it much more?

  • @dimensiont

You jump on here, suffused with virulence, hectoring believers about their "arrogance" for saying that the Lord's way is right?

Some people get it, some people don't, and other - well - others just REFUSE to get it.

Get back with me when you have matured a bit, and after you have managed to get over the fact that there are others in this world who see things quite differently.

Some would say your attitude is supremely bigoted.

  • @PinkOld You telling me you consider it arrogant to second guess the lord's will just made you a hypocrite. You cannot call me a bigot for second guessing when calling me one in it's self makes you a bigot.

I am here asking questions, if it is your belief then you should have the answers to my questions. I'm not pushing my beliefs on you, I'm asking how your beliefs explain things that are important to me.

  • @dimensiont

Earth is ruled by human frailties, human imperfection, and human free will.

This is far from the ideal plain.

The ideal plain, some would call it Heaven, is quite another proposition altogether.

Scoff if you like, as I am sure you will, but I always keep that in mind.

I get testy when I run up against some people who seem to make a point out of treating believers as if they were criminals for their beliefs.

    You don't believe,...fine, it's a free country.

    Accord me the same respect.

  • @PinkOld I have not been giving you any disrespect, nor have I been telling you not to believe what you should. I merely asked for an answer to my question. Nothing I did is any more obtrusive than seeing this ad on TV. Nothing was personal until you hypocritically referred to my questions as "garbage", telling me I was arrogant for having those questions then calling my a bigot for asking those questions. The one who should be asking for respect is me.

  • @PinkOld You're telling me that there's some sort of reason behind the suffering in Africa, that it's all part of his plan. That to me is just a cop out to make people not feel bad about turning their cheek.

You're giving me info that has no way to be proven or disproven by telling me "We'll find out the reason later". When later comes, you'll say the same thing. Because tomorrow is always a day away.

  • @dimensiont

    Grow up.

You are just another bitter little man out to make himself feel better by attempting to shake others' faith.

Well, you will be unhappy to know that it did not work.

    Jerk

  • @PinkOld How am I being bitter? I'm asking questions, not insulting you. You've been more abrasive than I have through this little quarrel. It was not a personal attack until you made it one.

  • @dimensiont

    Fine

    Time to get personal now.

Six years ago, my wife of ten years died of cancer, leaving me widowed and my then eight-year-old daughter without a mother.

Two years ago, I met a woman my age, and over the next few months, I really fell for her in a major way.

I am marrying her next month, and my daughter loves her, too.

Oh, did I mention that this woman was herself widowed seven years ago...as a result of suicide?

I suppose you want to say I should not see God's plan now, right?

  • The world is a sick cruel place, and for you to say that you think god used his almighty power to make sure your timing belt didnt break is highly disturbing. I wonder how many ppl will starve to death today, and if any of them will be praying to god with all their hearts for relief, just to die anyway. What i'm frightened of? That they call this god's love....our pain is god's love...

  • God's love is that God doesn't sacrifice one for the good of the group. God has an individual desire for every one of God's creations, that's what's so awesome! From the worms to the people, God takes care of it all. I'd like to share a little quote too, "God answers all prayers, and sometimes the answer is simply NO."

  • Thank you!! God Bless You!!!

  • Bold! Awesome! Saw this on Dish Network. I hope this starts a chain reaction among other companies!

  • Thank you for having the courage and conviction to create such an ad!

  • What in the hell does God have to do with batteries?

  • @dimensiont It caught your attention didn't it???

  • Our battery in our truck has been failing and we were getting concerned because we have like $30 to our name. We didn't even go to church last Sunday because it wouldn't start. Well we forgot that a few years ago we had purchased an Interstate battery with a 5 year warranty. When we discovered that, my hubby got it to start without a jump and then went and got it replaced for free. Then 5 minutes ago I saw this commercial. I don't believe in coincidences. :) God bless you guys for doing this!

  • is the song at the end a real song??? but i love the video

  • Where is the love in a careless creation?

  • There will always be conflict amongst humans. Always. There has and always will be strife between those who have access to resources and those who don't, those who share a certain ideology, and those who share another. Even under the umbrella of christianity, protestants think catholics are going to hell, baptists think 7th day adventists are going to hell, mormons think jehova's witnesses are going to hell. Every denomination holds that those who don't believe precisely as they do, will perish.

  • What you clearly don't understand is how connected every religion is. Islam directly stemmed from Christianity. Also Buddha isn't a supernatural being he is simply worshipped for what he did when he was alive. So this argument that you are trying to present to me seems rather moot and lacking in knowledge. My argument still stands that there is evidence in His prominence today, in Christianity and most of the worlds religions. God loves you :)

  • @kristena200, EVERY RELIGION? Only Islam, Christianity and Judaism are deeply connected. Judaism came first, then Christianity shot off from that, as did Islam. Islam came from JUDAISM. Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and hundreds upon hundreds others have no connection to Judaism, Islam, Christianity. Buddha isn't considered a deity but certainly a supernatural entity. You, sir, lack knowledge. Your argument is that there are a lot of religious people in the world; Agreed, so what's your point?

  • God is ever present, but youtube is not the place to argue about it, because you cannot simply talk about God to know God. To bad as of now, I cannot meet every single one of you to truly share my freedom.

  • Finally, a fresh breath of air on TV. Awsome, good work guys, Praise the Lord for what you have done!!

  • God bless you Norm, I will ask for Interstate batteries from now on!

  • Way to go Interstate. May God continue to bless you all! Kudos!!!!!

  • wtf!

  • Love is Love. No matter where you think it comes from . We need more Love.

  • I LOVE your commercial! No one puts commercials out like this, and yet you are sharing something with people that is more important than anything else. You could have spent your advertising money in other ways; thanks for making it count!

  • How amazing and refreshing to see a commercial like this in the middle of college bowl season! While people are robbing stores and banks in my town, if they had more of God's love we would truely become the greatest nation on earth!

  • This is a wonderful video that shows how all mighty god can take away a persons' free will. Wish he had sent those floating parasitic hearts over to Hitler before he signed those papers for Auschwitz.

Who else noticed the "Obey" sticker at :47? Oh, how I love the sweet taste of irony.

  • @monkeypickle23, haha I didn't notice that before. I wonder if one of the artists put that in there. I wonder if Interstate even noticed.

  • I hear god exclusively uses interstate batteries to power his vintage collection of horse-less chariots.

  • Damn all you so called Gods Love lovers could surely use a sense of humour.Hey,listen, maybe God does have horseless chariots, and by God,interstate batteries are some damn good batteries. You really want Jesus to whip this guy.Bad Christians,Bad,bad BAD,bad,BADDDDD! Now go to your corners and think about what youve said. There,go on,good little sheep.

  • What? you didn't find any trace of humor in my comment? I'm also how and why you would assume I'm a "god's love lover"? whatever that means. I don't give a shit about the quality of their batteries. That is not the issue. The issue is this commercial's sole purpose being to attract a christian demographic by hiding behind a guise of sincere caring. I'm no christian, but if I was, I'd be just as disgusted with Interstate batteries, and all you christians should be too.

  • Jesus, I pray that you show Daniel and help him to once again remember that you love him. He's forgotten your touch.

  • @zzzblog, if you really cared and were truly said that little prayer for me and my fellow heathens, I highly doubt you'd feel the need to post your "prayers" here on youtube. Wouldn't praying for us be rewarding and sufficient in and of itself? Writing a prayer for someone on youtube is not a prayer in itself. Get over yourself.

  • God's love is a simple concept, but powerful. You should not mock it.

  • This guy speaks of today's ills as if they were any worse than those of the past... witch burnings.. slavery... the crusades... Ya, Norm... "God's love" will eradicate "man's inhumanity to man" Pfffft.... asshole

  • As I recall Jesus had some harsh words for people who used the name of God to make a profit for themselves. He turned over their tables and threatened them with a whip as I recall.

Interstate batteries, your cheap shill has lost more than a customer.

  • it is so disappointing the reactions to this video. thus is the ignorance of those who do not know Him.

  • But see, you know what's even more disappointing? People commercializing Christianity and marketing it like a cartoon show, with a fancy jingle and a 1-800 number. That's ignorance for you, in 30 seconds of TV garbage.

  • I guarantee you that they gained more business than lost from this commercial.
