  • I hate Gwen, really.

  • really wish that arthur figures out merlins secret! its been 4 series and he still doesn't no!

  • welcome to multicultural medieval England. What a joke.

  • @glenn41062 ignorant little fuck. Blacks had been brought from Africa in the roman times as slaves or as soliders. Some stayed some went. But that's not really the point. The bbc picked her and her 'brother' for the part because they could act their part well they obviously didn't give a shit about their skin and you shouldn't either.

  • @KittykatTerror6 I don't give a damn about skin color. I'm not that shallow. But I do care for a modicum of historical accuracy when i'm watching a drama. Even a fictional one. And by "Blacks" i presume you mean people of color. You racist little shit.

  • Omg, am i the only one to hate to see gwen back already!? We've only had one episode without her! It would have been more dramatic if they waited till the last episode or somthing. Possibly the next season.

  • So good to see Gwen back, I think she is awesome.

Never understood why people want her to deliberately cheat on Arthur. Maybe I do really( possibly she is interferring with their preferred ship) but it is so annoying. I am fed up about some people going on about the so called legend blah blah and cannot see this version is a FANTASY, based on characters from Myth and Legend. I think it is unique and is one of the reasons why it has been as successful as it is.

    The Merlin cast rocks!!!

  • @ELLABELLAMJ

Besides Lancelot and the cheating only first appeared about six-hundred years ino in the legends, around the same time as the Holy Grail.

  • cant wait cant wait cant wait cant wait!!!

  • So her and Morgana reunite?!

  • i thought merlin end in 3 Episode

  • ...Did she go to Ealdor? Because it would be awesome if Merlin's mom showed up. <3 Hunith.

  • ugh.

I mean I like her, she's great for a servant, but we all know Arthur's downfall is brought upon by her adultery in the original legend... why can't they just let her go...

    rhetorical, don't answer that.

  • @Jentyss but that's not even the direction this story is going. not a lot from this show is like the original myth so why does everyone keep hating Merlin' Gwen for things she'll probably ever do?

  • @MelinaPendulum Clearly, you don't know the meaning of 'rhetorical'... or even 'don't answer that'.

And if you read what I wrote properly instead of jumping to 'stop hating heerrr, she's innocentttt, uuuhuuu', you'll see that 'everyone' doesn't hate on Gwen.

  • @Jentyss lol i know what it means :), it as more addressing just that arguement that people often have about gwen's character, it was not directed at specifically you, but seeing your comment i felt the need to respond since so many people (not just you) use that arguement against her. I did read what you said, and I didn't say "stop hating herrrr she's innocenttt, uuuhuu" as you put it so eloquently :) I was just addressing the fact that arguments like the one you rhetorically posted are flawed

  • @MelinaPendulum Ah? I'm glad you do, but I do wish you'd follow my wishes when I specifically ask them, it's rather insulting to be ignored and to be used to answer the general mass.

As for your comment about not following the legend, wouldn't Gwen returning to Artuhr and marrying him be following it? Gwen could have a more intriguing character by staying outside Camelot, working in favor of it like Morgana works against it... wishful thinking, but last episode was a glimpse at the potential...

  • @Jentyss Being a servant is an occupation, but not who Gwen is at heart. A servant wouldn't have taken mercy on Merlin when he first arrived, defended and befriended him when the prince had shown such contempt for Merlin. With quiet dignity, respect and wisdom influenced the Prince to be the King he didn't know he could be.

Do without her? Hardly. Even now, in banishment, she's saving them. That's why they can't let her go.

  • @SuperWahinetoa gasp! I did not know that!

Funny how you say being a servant doesn't define you, yet you somehow believe that servants can't pity a new guy or be wise. How do you justify that? And I don't remember saying that one's occupation DOES define them.

You make yourself look like an arrogant, annoying idiot by purposefully ignoring my request to not answer my question. D'you think you're smart by retorting to a comment made prior to the last episode using the events that occurred in it?

  • @Jentyss Calling me names won't make your opinion better than mine. Thanks.

Clearly you've misread it. Servants any era, if they want to keep their jobs (or in this case life) will keep their heads down. Gwen - the WOMAN, stepped up. I don't have to justify anything - you got it wrong in the first place.

Actually you did imply it. Glad you learned something.

Putting a disclaimer on your opinion is cowardly Jentyss. If you don't like being called on it, don't write in the first place. :)

  • @SuperWahinetoa Hm, see, there you go again assuming things. A, I wasn't calling you names, i was telling you what i thought of you and you just reinforced that belief.

B I did no such thing, yes you do need to justify yourself if you're gonna tell me I was wrong, because you are ignoring my arguments here by repeating yourself.

C Call it what you want, it's supposed to prevent needless debates such as this one. I don't care for what others think, nor about this topic enough to bicker about it.

  • @Jentyss Take responsibility for what you write - don;t try and pin it to me by namecalling. The best way to prevent needless debates, try not starting them with needless comments like yours was. Just a suggestion. I'm out.

  • @SuperWahinetoa What exactly am I pinning on you? Responsibility?

I didn't start the debate, you did by replying. Til then, it was a needless comment, like 99,99% of the comments on this site are, but you chose to reply and thus start a debate that shouldn't have been started. I knew beforehand that a debate about this topic wouldn't end, neither party would be convinced by the other.

So keep your righteous suggestions to yourself and learn to respect what people ask of you, w/e you think of em.

  • Gwens new boytoy ..

  • So Van Helsing has stopped hunting vampires and is now... well. Need I explain?

  • @BananaPotter funny xD

  • nice

  • I love Gwen <3

  • wow that guy on the horse is such a rebel...

  • The guy from young dracula

  • @frdwes Creepy as hell isn't it? Rapey Mr Van Helsing...ew...

  • Why do women always fall?

  • This looks kinda kinky ^_^

  • Seems Gwen is back to her old season 1 self.

  • *inaudible squeeing*

  • Oh Gwen... :'(

  • i'm gonna die waiting for saturday. seriously arthur and gwen. please please please.

  • @slik321 I agree, but Catherine Tate didn't ruin Doctor Who, she was amazing

  • @slik321 I mean, I kind of understand where you're coming from, but Arthur marries Gwen in the legends, right?? So if you do get your way and he doesn't marry her, then they're straying from it again. Basically, if following your logic, you shouldn't watch the show at all, ever again. They're only going to screw it up, so why bother, right?

  • @slik321 Catherine did NOT ruin Doctor Who. She was perfect and Donna was a brilliant character. And maybe they chose her to play Gwen because they thought she fit the character despite her being black and then just went with it?

  • @slik321 I cannot take this comment seriously after "Catherine Tate ruined Doctor Who"

  • @62phoenix95 Of course she did, She was too old, is far too mouthy and full of herself and she's a comedian not an actress. She was trying to be funny far too much which ruined the pace. The best assistants were Rose and Martha.

  • @slik321 One of the beauties of this series is that it doesn't matter what skin colour you have we're all equal. Have read alot different Arthurian texts from Morte D'arthure, to The Once & Future King, to Mists of Avalon, they're all different & all based from an old story from the 6th century,so who's to say what's the original story, & I don't even think they mention skincolour, the biggest difference from all these & this one is that Merlin is young & we don't want to be without Colin Morgan;)

  • Looka dat ho!

  • wtf is merlin and arthur to help her?!

  • YAYYY!! I mean obviously not yay because of the situation but YAY because its Gwen :D!!!! Sorry I just wuv her so much.... Lol
