  • Just think, anyone connected to him is JUST LIKE HIM. He has never denied or threatened to sue numerous disturbing things in a published book written about him, AND THERE IS A LOT. The book came out in 1995. TRANCE FORMATION AMERICA. He and "Honey" have a HISTORY of CORRUPTION. They are trash. Read the book and decide for yourself. SO MANY ARE NAMED and have NEVER denied it or sued. He's mostly in chapter 20 & 21. He also likes group sex.

  • Read the book TRANCE FORMATION AMERICA by Mark Phillips and Cathy O'Brien. This man has NEVER denied anything written about him and he or threatened to sue. "I met Lamar in 1973, at a satanic ritual in an affluent neighborhood of Nashville, TN. Alexander presided over this sex-oriented occult ritual with full understanding of my victimization. throughout the yeas Lamar's sexual perversion was to bring his victim to death through oral suffocation."

  • voted no on unemployment extension

  • When did nice Gov. Alexander become the present-day mean Sen. Alexander? Republicans are seriously authoritarian and have NO credibility on health care.

  • Remember when Lloyd Bentsen embarrassed Dan Quayle with that line, "you're no Jack Kennedy" and Quayle just looked straight ahead? Reid comes close to a Quayle moment when Alexander embarrasses him at @ 10:52 of the video above as Sen Alexander quotes statements from Reid supporting the filibuster rule a few years ago even as he now attempts to bypass a filibuster effectively ramming DemCare down our throats. Reid just looked straight ahead like a deer caught in the headlights of scrutiny.

  • LA is the insurance lobby's nigger!

  • Lamar the Liar.

He is in the pocket of the healthcare companies. The Republican are playing politics perfectly, capitalizing on the stupidity of their base by using buzz words and props again and again without presenting any facts or solutions.

It is however blatantly a choice of big medical/insurnce/pharma over the citizens of the USA -the only country in the world that neglects it's own citizens healthcare. Lamar wants to keep it that way. You're all suckers if you believe him.

  • This bill is an outrage. I already cannot bring home as much of my paycheck as I would like to. Government, et al, please don't attempt to steal more of it.

  • Lamar the Liar. No wonder republicans favor him. Republicans=The Party of Liars and Terrorists.

  • I love watching Obama and his cronies get schooled.

  • 5:29 I like what he says about "we don't do comprehensive well" and I say Amen to that! It is usually a challenge to expect government to do one small piece well.

Some Americans get no tax benefits for paying health insurance premiums. Let's just start there, Why should anyone get less benefit than any corporation. I think we have to treat everyone equally here and rebate at least 35% of the cost of insurance premiums to everyone who will buy it, just like we do for corporations.

  • Are there any Doctors in congress or senate--shouldn't they be in this summit--I would think a doctor would have some good Ideas on of to fix this problem..I mean we have unemployent at record high and they are trying to do health care???Hmmm how about some dam jobs.

  • This makes me proud that Lamar Alexander is my senator

  • Ohh, so that's why premiums will go up:

3:47 "It means that for millions of Americans premiums will go up because, those.. when, when people pay those new taxes... .... um.. premiums will go up, and they will also go up because of the government mandates."

Are you f'in kidding me, Senator?? I did a better job in 6th grade faking a book report about a book I hadn't read.

  • Repubs. were grandstanding as usual without any intent to help solve this healthcare crisis.. we know who really pays their salaries don't we.

  • @bwebb2009 Every solution they've offered has been completely ignored and they've been shut out of the entire process? Despite Harry Reid blatantly lying about it, the Dems already have a plan to use reconciliation to pass the bill. They never had any intention to compromise with Republicans. This was just a political gimmick for them to say, "But we really tried to work with the Republicans!" Why's there no tort reform in the Dem bill? Because 'we know who really pays their salaries, don't we'?

  • bwebb2009, I think you need some history education. Detroit and Michigan have been run by Democrats for some time. If the neo-socialist policies that Obama is promoting worked then Detroit should be an exemplary city. Sadly Detroit and Michigan are poster children for the failure of DEMOCRATIC policies coupled with the unrealistic demands of unions.

  • Sooo, President Obama caused Detroits problems in his one year in office and the past 8 repub years had nothing to do with the disaster Detroit is in? hmmmmm pull your head out of the sand.

  • That's not what I said, but I see you have learned Obama's strawman argument trick. Detroit and Michigan have been Democratically controlled all during "the past 8 repub" years. Given the success Texas has had during the same time it is clear that state and city policies have a lot to do with local success. If you think my head is in the sand it is simply because you don't seem to be award of which way is up.

  • Michigan has had a Democratic governor for eight years. Detroit has had Democrats as mayors continuously for forty-eight (48) years! There is not a single Republican on the Detroit City Council, nor a single State Rep., State Senator, or U.S. Congressman from Detroit. Statistically, Detroit has the most liberal voting track record of any major city in the country. So yes, any political problems Detroit has sit squarely in the lap of Democrats.

  • 2) Moreover, Detroits fiscal malaise is far older than eight years of Bush and two years of Obama. Detroit has consistently lost population for almost half a century, dropping from 1.85 million to 900,000, dropping from the fourth largest city in American to the eleventh largest. To blame Bush for a fifty-year decline is just silly.

  • 3) Nor can you claim that unfair trade policies have destroyed Detroit. If that were the case, then all American cities would have suffered in similar ways, yet many cities especially southern cities have prospered by pursuing very different economic and labor politics during Detroits decline.

Given half a century of complete one party monopoly of power in Detroit, if a party is to blame for the decline, it can only be the Democrats.

  • Something does have to be done with healthcare, but ramming this down our throats is not the way to do it. Reducing cost is the best way, tort reform is another good way to reduce cost, this will reduce ridiculous lawsuits.

I've never been a huge fan of Lamar Alexander since he went to the senate, but he presented these arguments well for the republicans.

  • Larma , maybe you should come visit Detroit and see what 8 years of Republican's has done to our economy

  • @bwebb2009 Stupid. Detroit is one of the biggest Democrat strongholds and most unionized city in America. And it shows.

  • @cathasaigh typical, calling people retard and stupid, that really helps alot.

  • @bwebb2009 That's what happens when you blab nonsense like a liberal drone. Detroit is as liberal as you get, and yet you blame the city's problems on Republicans. That's because your ideology is intellectually bankrupt.

"Politically, the city consistently supports the Democratic Party... According to a study released by the Bay Area Center for Voting Research, Detroit is the most liberal large city in America..."

No coincidence it has the highest unemployment and poverty rates, too.

  • @bwebb2009

democrats and unions have done this to

    your state

  • We need more healthcare and less whining please

  • Repub's are acting just like they always do, being negative, unproduction whiners.

  • Ha Ha Larar Alexander thinks the health care bill is a car.,

  • He was just trying to illustrate a point that if the American people don't like something they should go back to the drawing board. Much like a car company would if no one wanted a model of a car, they would either scrap it or redesign, and not make the customers buy it.
