two: when they are hatch-lings, beardie's don't know the difference between food and feet/tails/toes and other body parts, and sometimes they will attack one another, so the tail was more than likely just a sibling taking a nibble, my dragon Lizzy(bowser) has a funny little bend at the end of his tail that was the result of a nibble. any who, cute protector you got there(;

It is also common among large clutches to have toes and tail tips nipped off by more aggressive siblings when they are babies. I had one that was missing a couple of toes.

@syssercgirl IMO, it kinda looks like stuck shed... The end of his tail looks a little black as well (Don't know if that's just the video or what) but especially because it's pulling the end of his tail up, you should probably take him to the vet and have it looked at. If he gets tail rot from it and you don't catch it in the first few days, he's a gonner.

@syssercgirl his tail does look like a early form of tail rott . i bred lepord geckos and beardies and it definatly looks like tail rot . when he gets older its prone to infections . id take him to a vet asap

@syssercgirl More than likely when he was a baby, he was kept with larger beardies. I worked in a pet store for a while and this ended up happening. The larger ones pick on the smaller ones and sometimes even bite off the tips of their tails. Unlike most lizards their tails don't grow back, as you obviously know. It looks perfectly normal though. I have a bearded as well. Besides the tail, it looks just like him. Lol! Very cute.

@syssercgirl my beardie has had a tail much worse than this for the past 10 years and its never changed, probably just had some tail damage when he/she was little and it grew that way. I am not an expert but that's my 2 cents.

@sentibee She doesn't need to take him to the vet per say, but a good soak in the bath and a toothbrush will help work off the retained shed. Might wanna do it a few times a week. This worked for my beardie.

@syssercgirl It may have occured when the person you purchased from carelessly put two bearded dragons together in one vivarium and thus it got its tail nipped in a fight or one mistaken it as food.
