You forgot the state of Michigan opened up the flood gates on the lake at FULL SPEED!!! When there was ABSOLUTELY no reason to do so. As a matter fo fact the gates have never been opened.
super educational well edited great narrator over all one of the most informative videos i seen on 93 i was about 7 years old and i remember sand bagging with my dad in saint louis missouri
I live halfway between Des Moines Ia. and St. Louis Mo. 1993 flood was much worse than 1973's flood. Was in west quincy mo 10-15 minutes before the levee broke and the levee break at the sny island levee district happened about 300 yards south of my uncles farmhouse. Lot of work before the flood moving equipment to higher ground but we saved it. Don't wish to deal with it again!
We're English, I did know that it was pronounced like that, but we didn't have enough time in the lesson to re-do the take every time that some my mate said something wrong.
I did actualy now that, it was my mate who did the voice over, lol. and it was hard enough doing it, with out stoping to correct evry pronounciation mistake. But it still sounds strange.

To clear this pronunciation problem up for everyone...Des Moines is closer to Day Moin .... It's french.
