Vinyl sales in the UK are up 55% in 2011 according to the Entertainment Retailers Association and up 41% in the US in the same period according to Nielsen (the retail analysis group). Also, a lot of DnB and Deep House DJs are still playing vinyl and a lot is still being released - Hospital Records being a good example.

mp3s i think are still the most used..digital is everywhere. vinyl is like mostly unused but when u find a dj spinning it, it blows u that much more away. you have to go to speciality music shops like amoeba music in la. It is a huge music store..or u can go to thrift stores for classics or other small record stores. the down side is that vinyl is damn EXPENSIVE for like 3-4 tracks or less.
