Loved to do that when i flew DG-300...Pulled up...went into thermal which i followed up to 600 & same tour again....Those were the days :-)

I have some question about psychology:

Why do we enjoy flying and being in the sky? Is that the space, the feeling of freedom, the blue colour...etc. What are aeroplanes so attractive for us? Is the the speed, the shape, the power, the technology...etc.

maybe its just being able to move in a dimension (up and down) that we are accustomed to being restricted in.

For me it was more than that though. Its similar to being on a motorbike in some ways. I think it just comes down to controlling a machine that is so flexible in its use that using becomes an art form and allows the user to personalise every aspect of it.

then there is the chemical dopamine which is released with we see new enviroments, and being in sky allows that to happen often.
