Well, I'm not a professional or something, but I've made a lot of pictures with perspective and I never used a grid for it.
The way I see it you could have done this job in half of the time and it would have looked like this, too. Nevertheless I like your love for details. ;)
this is not a propper way to built a 2 point perspective. it is not a calculated method, therefore, relying only on your eye may result into disproportions and perspective mistakes.
the fact that you draw these blocks looking at the firts front block at an angle of 45 degrees does not make it any more enjoyable.
this is a quick method, but not a very good one.
unfortunetely, i don't have the necesary equipment to record and show you the method i use...
Are you talking about in general and or using Photoshop? If no, Can you scan in a method you have done, whether on Paint, paper and pencil or other screenshots of software you have created it with to show a different approach to what you are talking about? Im interested in new ways to create believable perspective in Photoshop. Any helpful hints?
oh! I knew it sounded final fantasy-ish! ( I haven't been able to play FF7, but I want to badly)Anyway, goot vid! I love doing perspective, it's like a rubix cube, it's annoying but somehow worth it in the end (even though nothing important was accomplished) C:
well awesome, don't listen to douchebags like krus 100 that have no life and spend all their life claiming to draw squares on paper when your the one actually doing it
do u know how to do spherical perspective? if u do, can u plz do a video on it. I've been trying to find a tutorial online, but i haven't found anything useful. Thnx for reading, peace out!
we did perspective drawing in art class last year (when i was in seventh grade) and mine came out really good, but i left it there and it got lost...so i forgot how to do it. this refreshed my memory so now i think i can do it again, thanks!

What are you talking about? This is perfectly suitable to get perspective. My drawing grids look somewhat like this....
xishimarux 2 years ago
this is a fast way to draw a perspective, but since it is not constructed, mistakes might occur.

how did u make all those lines go away
drumplayer194 4 years ago
I would imagine they were on different layers. Layer 1 is the horizon line, layer 2 would be the perspective grid, layer 3 is the buildings.
retread01 4 years ago
That is totally how it's done. I even put the perspective points on their own layer.
