What are the borla Mufflers on this car called, When I redo the exhaust on my fox i'm going to see if i cant get the borla stinger mufflers put on my 87 5.0 fox, I doubt it will sound as good as these new edge's do but I think it will still sound amazing. Nice car and exhaust.

GM claimed the z28 put out 305 at the crank but most people are getting at least that to the wheels bone stock...there's a 15-20% loss from crank to wheels so yes...VERY underrated
ok cozzey05, the termi (03-04) cobras are rated at 390 hp and 390 ft lb. torque....now these numbers are underrated actually. these model cobras dyno anywhere from 365 to 375 at the wheels bone stock. check any review, one such example is spike tv's "musclecar" they put theirs on a dyno, and it put down 378 if my memory serves. which means approx 425 to the crank
very true...the 03-04 cobras are very underrated just like the ls1. the 2010 gt500 is also underrated. ford claims only 540 hp at the crank but ppl are getting 510 to the wheels.

Now if you were to compare the GT to the SS it would be the SS all day, assuming you didnt compare a 2002 SS to a 09 GT. Keep the years together and the Camaro wins every time.

not sure what mags ur talkin about...i used to own a 97 and most of them put down at least 260 stock with a rating of 305 (which is about right) the 99s usually are above the 270 range minimum....if they were putting down 240 something was wrong with them cuz that's definately not normal. you might have walked a modded cobra lke that in your trans am but have you ever thought some ppl can't drive? cuz trust me a 99 cobra (that isn't fucked up) with the mods u listed shouldn't get walked by u
i had a 97 cobra with k&n filter, hpipe, flows, and 4.10 gears and ran with a couple modded ls1s (as in exhaust and filter like I had) so in all honestly maybe there was something wrong with the 99 you raced or somebody needs the driver mod. no dought the ws6s are quick...but a 99 cobra with full exhaust, gears, and programmer shouldn't ever get walked by a stock 99 trans am. those mods would put a healthy 99 at or around 300 at the wheels and the gears really wake those cars up
At this point the car was original...besides the exhaust and lettering on the rear bumper lol...wasn't stock at all later. The new ride is "semi-stock" lol

H-Pipes don't sound that bad man..but y there are def useless on the big end of a 1/4 i shaved .3 tenths off my 1/4 with a switch to a UPR O/R MID X-Pipe and there only 160 bucks def worth money for sound and performance..
Because the '99s were recalled for over-rated hp. They weren't really making 320hp. They stopped making them, took 2000 to fix the problem, and then released the '01, which then actually made 320.

Oh, well if you're blueprinted and got a Procharger in there, your doing way more than the '01s where doing anyway. Heck, even with your procharger on 6psi, you're still doing considerably more than the '03-'04s. I don't have any first-hand experience, but the best exhaust I've heard is a Borla stinger cat-back w/ an off-road x-pipe...insane. Find the youtuber "agc612", and check his vids. my opinion being a MAC catless X pipe with a MAC flowpath catback system is by far the best sounding system for a modular ford engine. Just my two cents.
No, competition orange was a 2004 mustang color, the car up top is performance red, its a 2001 cobra. Although oddly enough I do currently own a 2004 competition orange cobra!
Any catted x-pipe is legal, all offroad x-pipes are illegal in MA at least (even though some may pass at times). Its all in personal taste though, I LOVE the Borla stinger sound because its loud but soft if that makes sense, although a bit on the more expensive side. Just do a search on here, I'm sure there's clips of all of those setups.

Dont worry about headers if all you want is sound. lol. Headers and a full exhaust can net you up to 40rwhp though.

it might be the mic on the camera but sounds a little bubbly on the idle, but once you lay your foot into her sounds great!!!!!

holy jesus.... that was one of THE BEST sounding exhausts i have heard in along time. i mean one u start off with THE muscle car and add such a kick ass sounding system like that. its like a little orgasm on youtube. major props to u. but does it return the favor when u line up??
