  • it would be awesome if some people actually made this a pc game... with online play (no emulating or remaking) still the same graphics and gameplay.... it just have to get to pc.. it would be awesome as a competitive game haha XD

  • Lol Fail XD 1:08

  • Comment removed

  • Its Like Time Crisis Except U Move Manually And Shoot Recklessly.

  • Oh, my childhood...

  • Anyone remember the pre-order NINTENDO POWER had?

If you had bought the monthly issue of Nintendo Power and had goldeneye pre-ordered you could get a replica of goldeneye's watch.

I have the watch but I can't find any reference of it whatsoever.

  • lilith fair

  • Playing COD makes you a man? HA!! I instantly turned into a man when I played Split Screen with my 3 friends! MAN!!!!! Was that the shit back then *sigh*

  • 1:54.. penis shot lol

  • daam this guy got nice moves in the game lol

  • lol 1:38. NOOB walked right in front. lol

  • that game is pretty bad ass for a really early release date only thing wrong with it is aiming

  • I remember Nintendo 64 when it came out. Seemed bigger than the 360 does now. I wanted this game so much!

  • I havent played this is like 10 years , seeing it now just shows you how far video games came in such a short time

  • I loved the difficulty of this and perfect dark, or even anything else retro. The objects did not hold your hand leaving knowing fuck all what to do :') Not like the new video games GOD DAMN BLEEDING BLINKING ARROWS ¬¬ And recharging health too -_-'

  • Still a great game I do say, trying to get emulator to work for the game. Miss the game, hell these days we have MW1 Mw2 NFS:shift, GTA IV, but I do have to say I would still play N64 hands down. LoL, sorry if that seems stupid, but the N64 had some great games. (Perfect Dark, 007 Golden Eye, Rush Hour)

  • @tigercub0100 There's a retro gaming community here on youtube that plays the old games.

  • At 1:35, that guy wanted to die. He was just asking for it!

  • and now 13 years later they want to bring it back..with fucking Craig and make it a Wii Exclusive, that's a bigger flop than the fucking Virtual Boy.

  • @cyberneticssjnevrock So you think it'll fail just because the character you play as doesn't look like Pierce Brosnan?

  • @kmart43210 no they're trying to re invent goldeneye ONLY FOR THE WII

THATS WHY ITS FAIL, you don't remake a title like this exclusivly for a casual gaming platform! Wii is for Casual gamers mostly, you got the 20% that are die hard nintenerds like myself that will buy anything nintendo. Wii has the casual gaming market while the Ps3 and 360 fight for the hardcore net gen gamer. This is going to end up like Perfect Dark Zero...watch.

  • @cyberneticssjnevrock The Wii version sucked hard.

  • Polygons!!!

  • now that i look back on it the graphics seemed better

  • This is one of those games that can never die and every one loves I miss the days when i used to play it it was fun.

  • If they made this for console marketplace like they did with Perfect Dark...they would make fortunes

  • wow this was like the best game made for nintendo 64

  • limited game engine possibilities made coders think more about what would b cool.

  • I LOVE THIS GAME! , Reminds me of my childhood! <3

  • This game is the shit, anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't played it.

  • I laughed really hard when the guy got run over by the tank :3

  • Does anybody remember paintball mode. lol

  • those were the days lol games were taking those first steps into realistic environments, movies used primarily practical effects, and there was no star wars prequels lol that game made the fps what it is today

  • Wow, so funny how i thought these graphics were insanely good back in the day.

  • 2:17 - sweet shot

  • WHich idiot "doesnt like" this?!?!

  • yeah this game was the ish think it still is

  • classic but my head hurts playing it these days tho

  • I thought Perfect Dark 64 was better. But yeah, Golden Eye came first.

  • THE ALMIGHTY PENCIL GUN! BEWARE!!!

  • @OBEYtheMUSIKK lol the AK? yea totally when i ws younger

  • ahaha i had this game! it was awsome :P i used to play it mosty with my friends at home

  • i still got this game and it still works and its fun ^^

  • I always thought the AK-47 was some sort of bullet-shooting pencil that Q invented.

    Now I know better..

  • this brings back awesome memories

  • cant even ADS

  • i used to love setting the alarms off and fighting the endless raid of enemies!

  • the good old days! =)

  • was my fav game when i bought the n64 in 97, such a great multiplayer game

  • Aww man I remember playing this over and over again on my ol N64.. This was da Bomb!

  • Reminds me of the good old days :D

  • i still ave this game lol

    its fun

  • The SOUND is awesome on this game :)

These were days that the GAME were more important than graphx . (even the graphics being great for 1997 games)

  • I miss this game

  • this brings back memories thanks for posting this

  • proo lol

  • It was the first game where the bad guys react to being shot in multiple ways. For example graging thier arm if the were shot there.

  • I loved this game but I never got passed the 2nd mission so i cheated :/

  • I can only imagine how baldy the gameplay would e changed if they ever remade this game. All it needs is graphics upgrade.

  • that game was absolutly groundbreaking, back in the days that was real as it got.. I miss the good'ol days

  • Lol, a friend of me still plays this game xD But he's going to buy a PS3 :P

  • GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. Two Best N64 Games Without A Doubt.

  • @yogalatescalifornia I love you!

  • this was a really good game i remember playing it :)

  • auto aim ruled back then!!!

  • The music is so freaking awsome!

  • The graphics are simply astonishing

  • @Nowheremovies Back in it's day, it was groundbreaking.

  • @Nowheremovies sarcasm is a virtue, but narox is right it it was a wonderfully crafted game during its prime... i honestly wish they would re-do this game in the next-gens like ps3 and 360, but somehow i know the would totally fuck up the port with some NEW AGE bullshit

  • @Nowheremovies for realzies, I particularly liked the camera's filled with explosive material =P

  • Great game, i loved the 2 player part. Back in the days we tought this was great graphics....

  • It was great graphics back then.

  • I just hate the controls now

  • @vanarve We thought too. A friend and I always threw grenades all over the place while entering rooms.... As well as stuck grenades also called "semtex" in boring cod nowadays^^ ;)

  • I really hope that Bond games like this one will come out someday. I don't mean graphicwise but in the way it felt to play this. 20 or more single player maps, very nice multiplayer and ofc new stuff like online mode and co-op.

Btw check out Goldeneye Source if you haven't.

  • This game is still more fun than any fps of today.

  • very fun game.

  • Great game, and I didn't even play it until this year to!

  • There are so many good games from the 1990s, spanning all the consoles. Lots that them I have not played. :)

  • this one i have to get,one of the best shooters for the n64

  • It was a surprise hit in its day.

  • I remember when my cousin got this he was all over it and I just couldn't get into it. Being so used to the PC I just couldn't get along with the controls!

But I enjoyed watching him playing through the game though.

  • I was playing first person shooters on PC such as Quake and Duke Nukem

  • i've never been into first-person-shooters but i really liked this one, only negative point: it got prohibited in germany because of the violent content...

    weired censorship

  • Do they still censor today's FPS games?

  • well, it got better. fps is ok nowadays. but other games like "Gears of War" are prohibited completely and games like "The Darkness" have to be modified if you want to publish it here.

But the solution for the smart people: we order our games in Austria (better law, less censoship) via internet and because of the open border (European Union) no fees or taxes, just game+shipping costs.

who said gamers are dumb?! ;)

  • Gears of War has been put on the 'index' by the BPjS, that is true. But this only means that shops are not allowed to display the game or advertise it. You can still buy it. You just have to ask for it and have your ID ready. So in effect it's like a 18+ rating with an added prohibition to advertise or display the game.

They call this 'no rating'. Every game has to be rated, so without a rating it's effectively on the index.

  • Plus .. AFAIK, Microsoft take a game off the market if they cannot advertise it. So if the game is not available in germany it's a Microsoft decision. (But because of the rating)

  • they have a ratings system similar to the ESRB here in Europe called ELSPA which classifies the games into 4 categories/age-groups: age 3-10 / 11-14 / 15-17 /18+

  • Good info. Thanks.

  • @narox lol

  • this game was a blast back in the day, i tried playing it again, not use to the controls but still fun fun game, and im not a bond fan.

  • Myself, I only play first person shooters on the PC with mouse and keyboard.

  • great video man. i have two copies of this game lol

  • Two copies, you really like it. :D
