Listen to what thye're talking about here. Important issues, not pointless drivel trying to further themselves. So what if they're gettin more exposure, they desrve it! And if past members wanna stay underground thats fair enough but why hold back someone elses ambitions. At least Itch & co understand havin a bigger
voice means thier message can reach a bigger audience.
Are you saying Rage Against The Machine are sellouts cos they're signed to Sony?!
I've always loved the king blues, but some people should just accept change and nove on..yes we all loved fruitbag, yes their new music is a bit differnent from their old, get over it! they might have enw members etc but they are still that band that I love and still sending out great messages - still standing up for what they believe in! :D x
they sell out the day itch stops writing poetry, anyone who hears the great wall street of china and 5 bottles of shampoo they will wonder why you bothered to write your comment.
i used to love king blues, first saw them in 07 and have seen them 8 times since then but they've turned so shit now. fruitbag was fucking awesome, his vocal solo in come fi di youth at a live show sends shivers down your spine, now they've traded him in for a bunch of punky stereotypes and play shit like headbutt?
You can all slag off YM@6 all you like. But they will never forget what is really important. Family + Friends. Itch is a complete sellout. Turned his back on his friends to make money. These two are what is wrong with music today.
atleast there is a sense of origonality about them
I mean dont get me wrong I love YM@6 but all those bands get a bit repetitive like the whole music scene there part of the king blues just something a bit fresh, well something there's not a lot of around :]
have you ever seen them live? fucking sellouts? i dont think so mate. signing a record deal doesnt make you a sell out if extends the demographic (thats your audience mate) to which your message can be spread. Look them up properly.
Weeeell, woodyboy909... the first time i saw them was in August 2006 at wasted (punk) festival. I then went on to see them 23 more times because i loved them so much. I'm not sure why i'm telling you this because ur clearly a knob but ive even cried during one of itch's speeches. (Am now ashamed) but he stopped making anti-capityalist, anarchist speeches when they signed a million pound record deal. Thus: sellouts. Rant over.
please don't presume im a "sir" you sexist! And yeah love music but surely the message behind it is equally important? ps if you don't give a shit why bother replying?
@punkolele nah mate, he still does this. when i saw them at lounge on the farm festival in canterbury half way through the song come fi di youth he made a massive speech about equality and against the BNP and got the whole crowd to shout fuck off bnp, which i thought was pretty cool. and before he played the streets are ours he did a bit against the war. they aren't sellouts
@murrayisarobot, yeah mate, I know what you mean. They're still the same, but they just put their music out on a bigger scale now. They haven't changed their style, or started to write bland, generic songs. A sell-out is someone who changes what they do to be liked by more people, but The King Blues haven't. They're awesome.
@01dan61 I totally agree with you now. I wrote my previous comment before I heard Headbutt and Sore Throat. It's disgraceful that such a good band could become so generic.
Their take on homelessness is true, many homeless charities only operate within the law and the law does not favour the homeless! Best thing to do is occupy unused homes and demand more social housing. Up the King Blues!
I also agree with the fact that the king blues are awesome, not the best band, but pretty awesome, its probably the blackout. I am seeing both live and I love them a lot =]
@kathrynpoppymillie i like lostprophets, i got into them really recently when they released felon. i met my passion and got their name wrong and i was like "ahhh shit", but didn't mind because i hardly listen to them
They are awsome, and once they started talking about something they cared about you can see the change. Well done King Blues, stand up for the rights of everyone. We are one people, we are equal!
These guys are inspirational :)

i think one of the most important things about music is the message
i wouldnt listen to a nazi band just if the music was good.
if the music was good in a song, but the lyrics were racist, sexist or pro-religious then i wouldnt listen to it
the message behind the band or song is very important!
if ur anti racist and then someone played you a nazi song and you like the music, then thats defeating the object of what you fight for!
