interesting fact: Miserlou (Greek for "Egyptian Muslim girl") is a song that has been around sine 1927. It has a much slower melody and lyrics throughout the songs. It is typically played on classical greek instruments and has a very middle eastern sort of sound. Dick Dale revolutionized the song when he turned it into his own guitar riff. It is a wonderful example of how wonderful different styles of music sound together.
