Man I was in a match last night and the same thing happened to me. Someone on the other team was clearly lag switching like the guys in this video. I mean WTF Epic if this game has dedicated servers how are people doing this?
Then after match starts just stop uploading and then you can kill people easy but they will be lagging like fuck because they can't get through easily or quickly while you have 10 1080p videos streaming all trying to grab as much speed they can. :) It's not very fun I hate cheaters. Best chance of avoiding these players is to block port 80 on xbox IP but leave xbox ports open. You won'y be able to connect to internet but your xbox live connection will be fine. It will say MODERATE good luck
You can force HOST. Just block the xbox ports giving yourself strict NAT then the only port your xbox can use is the standard internet port 80. Then set 10 1080p videos downloading on youtube and run a 5 min upload test also maxing out your connection both ways then search for a match. When i checks quality of matches the connection will be awful so it should just keep searching after a while it gives up Makes you host and searches in P2P mode matching you with some pore SOB's...

gow 3 is always full of cheaters. I see it constantly especially modded controlers. Unfortunately Epic and microsoft cant prevent it, all they can do is try to control it. thier are mods for everything damage,extra health, movement speed etc........ The walking into the walls thing has happened about 3-4 times to me since release. Im in the UK and this is more common it seems over here. I know there are serious issues connections wise though. I don't even mind getting smashed by a decent team but most of the time its a frustration knowing bullets are hitting. Bro im a rank 100 and still worry fighting a rank 13 with my Gnasher as i don't know if its gonna actually work. I aint got confidence like in Gears 1 or 2 no way

Today I was Laggin like crazy! The funny thing, I checked my NAT system, tested the connection on xbox.... and it works perfectly fine! There's a suspicion that Lag Switching is involved around multiplayer! Epic even stated way before the release of the game that dedicated servers would eliminate this problem, giving us a smooth connection! If that's the case, why in the hell i'm still lagging???? This never happened when I first got the game!.... I Feel like imma sell this and just get BF3!

I get this evermatch I play near enough, I run a 50mb connection so if it was dedicated server, I would have sweet connection. Instead im stuck with laggy arse hosts who when they realise they are host, fuck up the connection anyway possible to get an advantage. This game failed so hard in the multiplayer sense due to Epic cheaping out on the dedicated servers. Only reason I still have it it is due to buying the season pass like an idiot.
When a lag switch is activated everyone looks like they are just walking forward into a wall although you look like you aren't lagging in reality everyone see's you as if you are running into a wall. and once you snap out of this then more than likely the lag switch user has killed you and you have spontaneously exploded. The only thing that pisses me off about this is that in gears 2 they finally stopped the lag switched by disconnecting the host automatically why the fuck are lag switches back

Yeah Zybak, something similar happened to me last night. At first I thought it was the Gears of War 3 servers having issues, since, you know, there's 'dedicated servers' and all! Then in a couple games there was actually the same lag as what happened in this video, and then a couple 'host migrations'. Tell me, just how the hell is there a host migration in a game with dedicated servers? It doesn't add up to me. Either way, now it's looking like it's the actual playerbase doing this. Really lame.
lol my WL in ranked TDM is almost 25.00 with over 250 matches. :) And some of the people I play with have over 70.00 WL since people playing ranked TDM are pretty bad.

About the dedicated servers I to thought it was dedicated but lag switching can only work with a p2p host system so idk if epic has left something out. @TheAgilegaming You know that all your stats arent added up right? You have stats for every game mode. Wingman, TDM, KOTH, Warzone. They all have individual stats for them.
All a dedicated server is; is when the organization/community instead of a player (p2p) has control over the servers. Peer to Peer is obvious relying on someone else's connection. Dedicated is having a server host completely on a different device (which could be in a remote location, and can be controlled as such). The server is controller by the organizations of (insert company here), or the community if they "rent" the server. This can easily be seen on Counter-Strike:Source.
Pretty sure your internet is just bad and your teammates were bad, 4 level 100's and another who was almost 100 could actually be pretty good at the game without cheats.
Dedicated servers doesn't mean you can't overflow the server with packets before it can filter it out. My friend has a script (not some nooby ass light switch) that instantly sends an abundance of packets to the server before it can filter it out. On a game like Left 4 Dead 2 which has so many different types of physics, particle effects, etc,etc not very hard to make it crash. We do this on PC though. Left 4 Dead 2 is dedicated servers. It doesn't matter if it's dedicated or not.

@curseesruc The reason I say this is because I have a shitty connection in Rural Australia, and I still don't get shit like this, and the part where he points out that there is a 'lag switch' everyone is running in place and yet no one is killing anyone, it looks like he is LDing... But it's fine to make a video about it, because of course, if you're team is getting beaten, the other team MUST be cheating. -_-

@PandaMarius - you cant see any killing because he was lagging in place while the other team raped them, and as soon as the lag ended they where all dead on his team, i dont know but that is very strange for me and its funny that to me this has been happening recently didnt happen before, im a huge gears of war fan so i didnt wait got it on the first day and the first 2 weeks where great and now this?

This is defiantly lag switching It was exactly the same in gears 2, idk why the gears community complains about how the game is broken when they themselves purposelessly find ways to exploit it. About the dedicated servers I to thought it was dedicated but lag switching can only work with a p2p host system so idk if epic has left something out. My bet is that the match making system is only dedicated and when your in a game it becomes host....

well gears have dedicated servers and shit but that doesnt make em unhackable. i had a guy do that to me too like everything was fine but when i got near him it started to lag like crazy and then out off the blue i got killed.

All a dedicated server is; is when the organization/community instead of a player (p2p) has control over the servers. Peer to Peer is obvious relying on someone else's connection. Dedicated is having a server host completely on a different device (which could be in a remote location, and can be controlled as such). The server is controller by the organizations of (insert company here), or the community if they "rent" the server. This can easily be seen on Counter-Strike:Source.

Dedicated servers doesn't mean you can't overflow the server with packets before it can filter it out. My friend has a script (not some nooby ass light switch) that instantly sends an abundance of packets to the server before it can filter it out. On a game like Left 4 Dead 2 which has so many different types of physics, particle effects, etc,etc not very hard to make it crash. We do this on PC though. Left 4 Dead 2 is dedicated servers. It doesn't matter if it's dedicated or not.
