3I drove a 2009 528i totally different car handles amazingly and it's all wheel drive the car is just amazing! u can't even compare this maxima to it but however this Maxima is faster on any straight run tho that's why I like the Maxima more ;-)

How do the max's have a 6speed gear box plus a CVT? Is that possible or does the "sport mode" and "Manual mode" just manipulate the CVT power spectrum to alter the RPMs? Anyway I got 6s flat for the first two, and like 7.5 for the last one but you shifted a good 1200rpms too early ;-) These Max's are faster than I thought.

@skeegle It's a CVT, the sport mode just makes a defined set of ratios for the transmission so it feels like it's shifting, even though it's really not.

there's program that records time and i programmed it to start at 0:15 and stop at 0:21 for normal, and did pretty much the same thing for the other two.

i was on edmunds and couldnt believe how fast da maxima was compared to the new 3.7 acura TL. acura was quicker to 30 and 45 mph but by 60mph it was 0.2 seconds behind and it took the acura a full second more to get to 90 than the maxima! why acura so slow?

judging by the revs it almost seems like youre not flooring it completely...dont forget that to get full throttle you have to push the gas until the click...its weird but the maxima has a click like on my old mercedes where the gas went all the way but if you pushed harder it clicked like a button and there was more power

Yo that shit kept pulling pretty hard in Ds mode after 60 mph. It seems that Nissan put that Ds mode in the car's tranny to give people back that geared shift feeling they've missed. I love the sound the '09 Max's engine makes at WOT. It sounds like a G35's engine.

Deff get an 03 i had one before but get a 6speed they are bad ass mine was an auto but still fast. I got an 07 Altima 3.5SE CVT and and a 03 Maxima 6speed out ran me by almost 2 cars. I was thinking bout trading my altima for 09 Maxima do you think the Maxima would be better than my Altima?
