@jbarthol It would not be wise to use this as fire starter because it's the actual wood that causes creosote. Why burn this with real wood. This is to be burned by itself in a HOT fireplace (but firewood must already be burned out).
@jbarthol 1) start regular fire. 2) after firewood burns down to mere embers, place UNOPENED creosote log directly on the hot red embers. 3) light both ends of the unopened bag.
Have a question on this product. Do you recommend using this as a fire starter, or to use it after the fire has died down? Which one would give the best results. Having a bit of an argument on this with a family member. I am convinced it is after it has died down, my relative is convinced it should be used to start the fire. Just want to put this to rest is all.
