I was around during the 1976 scare working at the DFW airport and was asked to get it. I determined no. I HAVE NEVER HAD A FLU SHOT and I have never had the flu. While every 4 to 6 years I get a cold. I will never ever get a vaccination. And how many people understand the difference between vaccination and immunization. MY Significant Other had what the local hospital tested as "Type A" flu late last spring ... they do not test positively for

H1N1 unless a patient is admitted.

Swine Flu cases were high in NYC where he worked, when this occurred.

I nursed him for 6 days in my home - and, having no dishwasher, poured boiling water over dishes/cutlery. Wiped door handles & sinks/etc. with bleach or alcohol. He took Tamiflu, kept primarily to one room, I slept in the other.

I did NOT contract his flu!
