  • The Cylinder represents a hard drive platter from what I've read. Just some random info for you all, lol.

  • @motalibi Same here. Vostro was a real dissapointment.

  • Have you got also a video, in which you repair a Dell Vostro 1500 with a broken LED Monitor?

  • Is there a place to install a second hardrive or does vostro 1500 support only one hardrive?

  • Can you help me.I don't know that my laptop(dell vostro 1500) can support a graphics card

  • @mbsfaridi if it has intel video as of now, no. you cannot install a nVidia or AMD/ATi video card in it. And the goes for about 98% of laptops ever on the market. Also, it it does have nVidia or AMD/ATi graphics, you probably still cant upgrade it. Almost all laptops with dedicated video, the graphics is still made into the motherboard.

  • @fr4gg3rd00d

    Hmmmm.Thanks

  • My dell vostrro 1500 showed a bluescreen a few mins ago... :((((

  • @pooolll111 Sad day! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

  • @rdbahm well it was just normal i guess cuz its not doing anything now

  • That was very helpful! Thanks for posting this up!! I have a Vostro 1500 too and today it started to misbehave =( The power button won't turn the system on anymore. Luckily the Home button could still "Wake" the system up. Do you have any idea what's going on? Also I notice the Power button's blue light doesn't flash anymore too..

  • @PhatPhunk That happened to me before my hard drive crashed. U might have to charge for 8 hours then it might work.

  • @pooolll111 Well I open it up and seems that it was the button'cover that's not making much contact with the power button. I basically taped 2 layers of scotch tape and that took care of it. I'd still need to apply abit of pressure to get the button pressed though. And I was wrong about the blue light! There wasn't any. I was dreaming I guess =P Thanks for your help! These vids are great!

  • @PhatPhunk I've never heard of that becoming a problem! If you want a more permanent fix, you might be able to buy a replacement cover, or glue a small piece of plastic to the underside of the button.
