  • Everything that the guy with the accent says is wayyyyyyyyy over my head.

  • and go back to using REAL CAP'S TOO!! they don't use 'em anymore. and put in real stand-up output transformers. that's the key too!

  • Most important part of this amp - low volume sound. You heard him, this amp aims to be marketable to a wide range of players. I've yet to hear a really full sound at low volume from a valve amp, OR atleast nothing close to produce slash's sound without other equipment.

  • You should think about army of players who dig high gain sound of modded vintage amps but they need separate volume levels for solo work - right on rehearsals! That is very hard to achieve with single channel amp with pre-amp cranked! Enough of volume boost for solo is essential! It would be very nice to have that feature via 2 channels not trough effects loops or two OD pedals in front of an amp.

  • What you guys at Marshall should do is to choose best mod of vintage amp and make it to have 2 same channels with separate tone controls and separate master volumes. No one really needs clean channel on Marshall !!! Forget about rock stars needs, they can play whatever they want and they have soundboard guy to boost 'em for solo work.

  • well heres what i dont understand.,.. if theyre gonna be stupid and just make a new "signature amp" for slash instead of REPLICATING THE AMP, why are they calling it an AFD100??? cuz so far this santiago guy has just put a bunch of gay other ideas into his head... :(

  • umm appetite for destruction 100? they are replicating it, they're just letting everyone have one instead of just making one.

  • if they are replicating it, why are they dissecting OTHER amps and coming up with DIFFERENT ideas for it instead of just putting a #39 mod on a plexi? ruffles272, i dont think u understood my comment. they are talking about building an amp thats nothing like the S.I.R. #39 right now... and santiago is confusing me AND slash... :(

  • Oh ok i understand what you mean, and I agree.

  • @Acidrain1993

yeah i was thinkin the exact same thing as i was watching it, all these features that the original amp didnt have...why cant they just take a stock super tremolo/jcm800/watever of the two slash says it was, add the extra gain stage, and send it my way

  • ahhhhh please kill Santiago, hijo de mil puta, please marshall send someone who understand slash tone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • they sound like they are buildin a jacm 800 a jubilee and 1959 all in one amp

  • Maybe this is stating the obvious, but if Jim Caswell performed the mod on the SIR amp (that all the LA players wanted to buy), then surely if they really want to reproduce the AFD sound, they should just talk to him???

If they have, then all this stuff is just hype (and I guess fair enough). If Marshall haven't, or don't then they are missing a trick. Then all this is just marketing bullsh**t, and they'll flog the gullible amongst us an amp that has nothing to do with the AFD sound.
