it decreases the sound, making it harder for enenmies to detect you, it shouldn't be hard to figure out since the sound decreases

@sonicspeed011 well obviously a supressor decreases sound, but you can still hear it, and there is a map so i assumed that it makes you not show up on it

@e115x525 you don't show up on the map by shooting, if you spot an enemy they will show up on the map for you and your team. the silencer for the usp has really no benefit unless you are trying to be really stealthy, on a gun like the m4 though the silencer is much more effective at controlling recoil.

Silencing the M4 or USP reduces both Rate Of Fire AND damage.

Some people say silencing them makes it more accurate,while in reality it gives the ILLUSION of being more accurate because the Rate Of Fire is decreased,and since there isn't as many bullets being shot,the recoil is decreased.

I play on a server where it shows how much damage you did the instant you damage another player,and when I silenced it chest shots did around 7 damage,unsilenced it did 11 damage or so for chest shots.

Might just be that server though....
