what a beautifully shot movie. As much as I hated that producer, I think I despised Paul just as much as Camille did. He was such a coward and an idiot. That's something one should never do, feed their wife to the wolves, and then wonder why she doesn't love him anymore.
@bobbieheller I feel slightly insulted by your comment. I don't claim to be a Godard scholar. I said it cuz it's what I understood, not what I read somewhere. I'd have to watch again to see how she reacts to his writing style becoming more mainstream. What I gathered is that he attempts to regain her respect by acting "the pure artist" in breaking the contract and refusing to write anymore for the film.
I think she felt her husband pimped her to the film producer to increase his chances of getting the script writing job, that he left them alone on purpose for half an hour even though she protested she wanted to take a cab with her husband. So she lost all respect for him. I don't blame her.
im an avid french film buff and love bb but this is shit

It was great until they died. That's the most anticlimatic way to end this.

Only a true poser would give this movie more than 50% for a star rating. Godard had some good movies. This wasn't one of them.
