..with that being said I cant get it to work. I am so close though. I have set everything up as you have stated (im running windows 7 as my host and a mac as the client) Everything is set up and when I hit "execute or apply) I get an error message saying

" Error: server already has a connected client with name (my clients computer name)"

Any idea on how I can finish this set up??

I've been trying to set up synergy between my Windows XP laptop and my Ubuntu 9.10 laptop.

When I try to test on the WinXp laptop I get:

INFO: Synergy server 1.3.1 on Microsoft Windows Server XP

ERROR: failed to create window: 6

FATAL: cannot open primary screen: unable to open screen
