What a ridiculous world we live in where people take offence at every little thing. The problem is that those complaining simply don't get the joke. It did not require a northener or a philipino, it could have just as easily been any other ethnic combination. The point of the sketch is to mock how badly Harry's character treats ALL people who are not English upper class. It just happened to include a Philipino on this occasion.
It is the character that is racist, NOT the sketch. Big difference.

Oh for goodness sake. The whole point of the sketch is to make fun of people who come from the north of England, if its anyone who should be insulted it's northerners who they are 'offending'. And to be fair, a lot of the Filipinos probably don't understand the sketch especially if they haven't been in the UK for very long, just coming to marry our elderly men (because British women are supposedly cheaters and hungry for men with money) and make a so called 'better life' for themselves.

I have notice how nice and warm they are, yes they do not smile a lot compare to Americans, but they are warm my friends family accepted with excitement... anywhere I go they offered help... especially in the train station when I was lost... with this experience I will forever like them.. like the way I love my friend Joanne...
