  • Mircosoft Sam, Is That You!!!

  • @Trumuzicfan192 yes it is. :-)

  • Just my take on it: virtually all the other "Carnival of Light"s out there sound like scattered chaotic noises...this has a more precise, dark, creepy kind of ominousness about it...it perfectly catures the mystery regarding this track, nobody's ever heard it, but almost every Beatles fan's heard OF it, and all the while, the tapes are still locked away at Abbey Road Studios...just something about that gives me the chills a little... Amazing cover!

  • @NeedleTVLTD Thanks. This one I dont care for, I prefer the second one I made. Its a bit more on a simular path as the original discription, that I read.

  • wasnt barcelona shouted not spoken

  • they were going to realse this on anothgy 2, but they realsed a instumental with in you with out you, i could trade all the songs on anghothly and forget about complelty just to listne to carnvil of light. even if it sucks in the end, it would still be worth it

  • @francoboy100 I agree. :-)

  • All right, all right. Good joke.

  • All these Carnival of Light videos will someday be known as Carnival of the Boys Who Cried Wolf videos.

  • Hahahaha!

  • @TimothyQStanton Well I do not say this is the original - its an imaginary cover. Thanks for listening 2 years ago. :-)

  • how can this be a cover of carnival of light when there are tons of different tracks on the net claiming to be the song and none of them confirmed?

  • Interesting point. :-)

  • this is pretty cool - according to the news macca says he might be ready to release Carnival of Light!

  • Oh really. Thats cool when did you hear this?

  • The last week

  • so this is carnival of lights but by a different group

  • you are correct.

  • You've just been checking Wikipedia, haven't you?

    "Barcelona! Are you alright?"

  • Mark Lewisohn helped.

  • why dont they just release this song, I would love to hear the real thing.

  • Alongside with a single of Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Ob-la-di, On-la-di.

  • That was a failed attempt to write out Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da but okay. I still think Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da and Maxwell's Silver Hammer were great songs as were all Beatles songs

  • I'm one of the many who wish Carnival of Light would be released, being a fan of Revolution 9 and the like. But, I have a feeling that if it does get released, it'll be enjoyable - but not worth the hype.

  • I agree.

  • ditto.

  • I always thought "Carnival of Light" was polyrhythmic, with percussion first having been recorded at a slow speed to give it depth.

Also, there are gargling sounds, sounds of electronic static, an Indian (Native American?) war cry, and snatches of saccharine melodies superimposed over John and Paul screaming like banshees.

There's also a church organ throughout, and Paul, near the end, with heavy reverberation, shouting, "Can we hear it back now?"

For forty-one years, the answer has been no.

  • I had no idea really until recently, like this week. I want to make another one thats more in line with the discription posted on the web pages I provided. They seem to have more info then the Mark Lewisohn book. :)

  • is there a wav or MP3 of this I can hear so I can understand what the guy before "Can we hear it back now?" said?

  • Oh I said - We take no prisoners!! In like a pirate voice. :)

  • I'm lost

  • No worries!! :)
