I just want to mention that in Carlin's list of people killed who were trying to promote peace, he mentioned Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was pretty close to a tyrant. He imprisoned people who dissented against the war, he suspended habeas corpus, and deported an Ohio Representative who was against the war and his high tariff policy which was really what the civil was was about. Lincoln wanted peace, but only at the expense of forcing states to live under the union whether they wanted it or not.

Oh, I can assure you I'm complete self-sufficient, having never accepted a handout from anyone. As for the demise of the welfare state, I'm not sure what world you're living in, because here on Earth every industrialized nation is trending toward the implementation of safety nets, universal healthcare, and the like. It's a matter of principle, that we as a society are only as well-off as our most deprived citizen. As for "research," it shows the majority using such things genuinely need them.

I just want to mention that in Carlin's list of people killed who were trying to promote peace, he mentioned Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was pretty close to a tyrant. He imprisoned people who dissented against the war, he suspended habeas corpus, and deported an Ohio Representative who was against the war and his high tariff policy which was really what the civil was was about. Lincoln wanted peace, but only at the expense of forcing states to live under the union whether they wanted it or not.

State government involves being governed by officials more locally elected. Much more appealing than a distant centralized federal big brother government who is far from the cries of the governed. Corporations operating in the free market would still have to contend with unions, they would no longer have the federal government taxing ever action they take. The middle class tax cuts would be rather phenomenal under Dr. Paul as well. I do research, Ron Paul is the only true advocate of freedom.

His "We the People" Act allows state and local govs. to decide whether they can or can't display religious implements, including atheistic, Muslim, Jewish or any other religious/nonreligious display. Seems problematic, considering Carlin was an atheist. Ron Paul is pro life. Carlin isn't. Ron Paul wants state regulation, that's it. That's all he has going for him.
