Now with this Spiderman fiasco who knows when it will come out. Mabey Bono and pals needed to be a bit humbled... just hope when the dust settles their spirits aren't broken. I saw them in 1998 and knew what we were in for.

as many of you writers i'm a big fan of u2, but i don't know if you see like me that there's a tendency to understimate adam's work on the bass. Most of the people say ohhh great Bono (i'm not saying he is not) or Edge (they rule) but adam doesn't the same amount of attention that the other do. Even with that the song is awesome, i hope they comeback to Mexico at least one more time.

U2 is the band that made me start to listen to music. Back in 2000 we had like 56k modems and I really didnt listen to much music at that time (I was 18). My neighbour showed me the Boston 2001 DVD and when I first heard it I was blown away - especially by Streets, Bad and Walk On...

I saw U2 for my first time in 05, front row. You can only imagine the feeling...I saw them again in Ullevi July 31st.. So glad they played "Until The End...".

I've seen alot of band live...But U2 is not just a concert...its an experience you'll never forget...you can feel Adams base in your feet, hear The Edges haunting melodies in the air, feel the beat from Larry and the energy from Bono...its like fine wine...you can't explain how it tastes..you have to try it yourself.

Edge may not do the classic "fret fiddle" that many classic rock guitarists assume we all can't get enough of. He is a unique beast with a truly distinctive, and by now legendary, sound. The word "capable" is relative. As Springsteen said, they don't say that's rock, they say that's Edge.

I'll check out those songs as well. I agree capable is relative. Edge's capability is to provide a compliment to Bono as well as the rest of the group - kind of a downscale "wall of sound". As a bassist I can respect the need for players to provide a "landscape" to go with the musical "painting". Edge does that quite well.

I like the song, and many more from U2 - but am mystified by the comments on "amazing" guitar work. Competent and nice sound - but many more capable guitarists in the world. U2 's charm doesn't come out of technical ability - which is probably a good thing.

have you listened to 'with or without you' or 'where the streets have no name' recently? i think many fans love the edge's guitar not because of its technical complexity but more because of its melodious and pure sound - often it seems like it is a separate voice singing in harmony with bono. you would be right in saying it is not the hardest to play - but sometimes the restraint of power is more meaningful than the use of it.
