Hi, In Ableton you simply go to file>Export>Export As and a drop down in Live will give you the choice to export your song as an MP3, Wave, or individual wave files from each track. Good Luck
LOL that book it's awesomely wicked! yes the name is "do androids dream of electric sheep" by Philip K. Dick one of the craziest writers ever, there's a comic series for it too, totally recommen it
The Jazzmutant Lemur works with any program that talks Midi or OSC. There is a plug and play controller called Jazzmutant MU for Ableton Live8. But it also works with Logic, Cubase, Protools, Reason, Traktor, Reaktor....whatever! Beneath making music it is also used for light shows...
Thanks! It is Abletons EQ8 I´m using, but just with 2 (from possible 8 points): a highcut and a low cut. At least you can do it also with a filter....
Your soundcard or audio interface is completely independent from the Lemur. The Lemur is a controller, it doesn´t make the sound.
All your computer needs is a ethernet port for communication. The Midiconvertion is done inside your computer. (if you want to trigger Midihardware you might need an additional Midiinterface to route the signal).
The Lemur works great with Ableton, there are many templates including a cliplauncher and a Monome emulation. For detail browse the Jazzmutants Homepage!
Great video on the Jazzmutant. I've heard of this controller but never seen it in action. The interface seems pretty intuitive and it must be real fun to use in a live situation.
Does the panel react well during the course of the live sets? I would think that once you start sweating the touch interface would become a bit non-respondant due to the lack of traction.
The Lemur works well even if you get a little sweaty fingers - no problem. And the touchpoint is very exact. If your fingers are very dry, you sometimes rubber/stutter over the surface while controlling faders, so a little sweat is really good ;)
Thanks for the feedback. You most certainly cleared things up for me. I'm going to keep a look out for one of these units, I'm very interested in testing it out now.
Normally the Lemur and Ableton file (.jzml and .als) should work on both plattforms.
Well, I guess the dblue glitch is PConly*... but you can still use 99,5% of the setup! Just get rid of that dblue glitch switch and you have enough space for a knob for any 3rd send fx....
*ha, normally you Mac-guys have the cool aps we couldn´t use, but this time PC strikes back ;-)
Cheers, mate! Thanks for your videos. Funny, I was watching another blokes video (pj) where you commented and was wondering about a template for Live and happened upon you!! As I said on the other guy's page I purchased the Akai APC40 and am thinking about replacing it with the Lemur.
I've recently bought Ableton Live 8 and Im really loving it. I've bought two midi controllers which are coming this week.
But one thing I cannot find is where to save a whole song as mp3/wav. I'm wondering if somebody has any suggestions?
Thanks.

Sweet setup man, what EQ are you using with that? I like how it's setup vs doing like an EQ3 3 knob setup.
