@bridaco The PUGs tended to not go in the portals whenever I told them to, sometimes resulting in the dragon being defeated too early, if they didn't ruin the attempt by pulling him prematurely and locking the rest of the group out. However, on two occasions I was able to complete Sunwell when the players actually followed my directions. The fight, overall, is somewhat annoying in that there isn't much to it apart from the portals.

yes, but that is because in sunwell, kalecgos's mind is being controlled by a demon and in order to win this fight, you have to kill the demon inside his mind, and after i think patch 3.3 and Malygos's death, he joins the other dragonflights atop wyrmrest temple

@bridaco There are certain fights that contain mechanics that if not properly controlled, will result in the group failing regardless of (and sometimes because) its damage output. For example, Razorgore is probably the hardest fight for an overleveled group since if you kill him before the eggs are destroyed, the group will wipe. I watched this video often while researching this fight, but since my guild wasn't interested in raiding Sunwell in Wrath, I needed to recruit PUGs to do it.

Lol, no sweetie, I didn't get locked out, I did just fine back on that fight, as I do on most fights. Otherwise I wouldn't be the druid CL and the one calling out commands to healers/decursers, calling out portals, etc, now would I? ;). And yes, he did call his viewers retards. when you start the fight he says malecgos will no longer control me (dragon) than the real kalecgos (human) says, 'HELP ME!!! before i lose my mind!' and the demon says something like ill watch you bleed to death

pretty much that demon has controlled kalecgos's dragonform and the real kalecgos is trying to defeat him but cant alone so if the demon dies the dragon is without a master so he'll enrage so this is pretty much like the romeo and juliet fight need to be killed at the same time

This is a harder fight to heal period. Bloodboil has tons of healing but its all entirely predictable. You know who's going to get the boils since its just a set rotation and you know tanks are going to get those debuffs. The only unpredictable thing is who gets the felrage but a simple assist macro can fix that.

Kalecgos otoh is a lot more unpredictable in terms of raid healing

one last question btw: Wild magic can give you a debuff, so that you produce 100% more thread right? well, if Kalecos can only be taunted for agroo whats the Idea? is it if you enter the demon realm and then start attacking you will gain agroo? or do you just do 0.00% agroo without the debuff = you have to taunt to get it?

or did I just miss read it? as in its only the demon, that you can taunt and normal agroo counts on Kalecos?

Not Kalecgos, Sathrovarr.

The dragon has normal aggro mechanics, so if a Lock or mage gets 100% increased threat, they're better off doing nothing than casting. The Dreadlord is the one that can only be taunted to pull aggro.

Okay so, points are:

1. The DPS'ers can go nuts as you can only gain agroo, via "taunt"

2. you want to have both the dragon and the demon to hit 10% life at about the same time.

3. make sure that the demon is killed first.

Madrigosa and Kalecgos came to the Sunwell to help to stop Kil'Jaeden and to free Anveena (the avatar of the remains of the sunwell) from his capture. While they were there, Madrigosa and Kalecgos were seperated, and Kalecgos ends up being controlled by the dreadlord Sathrovarr the Corruptor.

the wild magic seems to have more bad effedcts than good in about 10 wipes(very hard fight!)I've gottan 6 plus threat 3 double healing 4 casting time increase and one double crit damage so when you see that debuff its probably going to be bad

Most strats are divided on how to win this fight in that they say that either...

1)Dragon and Demon must die close together, ie Romulo and Juliette in Karazhan, or

2)Demon must die first.

How do you guys do it?

kill demon kill dragon, its not like romulo and juliette, they dont need to die in x amount of time of each other, they just effect each other. if the dragon dies first, no more ports to the demon(making what ever is in the demon realm the last people that have a chance to kill him), if the demon dies first the dragon hits harder.

Some boses will drop an item that is made for say a prot warrior and then you can turn it in with some sunmotes to make it for a dps warrior, people are calling these items T6.5 since they are a bit better than T6 items but they really not a tier

You have to tank the dragon so he doesn't just kill your raid (like any other boss) and you have to tank the demon so he doesn't kill the human form of kalecgos, if the npc dies both reset and you have to try again. You need to step into the demon realm anyways cause the arcane buffet will destroy you if you let it.
