  • martial art is for everyone.

  • @yeshuado The thing is, Jesus WASN'T sent down to earth to die for our sins. "God" could not do the things that you somehow fail to read in the old testament. You are fooling yourselves. Engaging in real "Christian" practice would consist of raping innocent girls (EXODUS), or beating slaves (Jesus gave specific instruction on the punishment of slaves). Christianity is an evil, unjust religion, and nothing you say can change the fact that it is filth.

  • @GuamKomudo No, fool, "Yeshua" is the name of the bloodthirsty imaginary being that Christians call "God"

  • can anyone tell me how this is a christian martial art? this just looks like iado/aikido also why are people arguing witch religeon is the tru one? we all have the free will to follow what we want but all religeons say the same thing. dont forget religeon is man made faith is not just to have it is the miracle itself. follow your own path or that of the divine/god/universal spirit in the end its up to you to decide

  • I think Christian Martial arts is the guys name who owns the school, not the religion lol

I saw a video called "Christian Kung fu VS Shaolin monk, and it was a monk that showed a guy named christian a sweep, and at first everyone was like "What is christian kung fu???" LOL But it was just the guy's name who was sweeped, I think it's just the guys name lol

  • @GuamKomudo I would be inclined to agree, except "Yeshua" is the real name of the person christians call "jesus". Also, their website is definitely christian religion based.

  • can anyone tell me how this is a christian martial art? this just looks like iado/aikido

  • What does Christian martial arts mean? Why does it look more like Japanese Martial Arts to me?! Why do you always try to compensate for the bad things you've done and doing, borrowing good things from other cultures? None of the things mentioned in this video have anything in common with the church, or christianity in general.

  • so this is a "christian" martial art, because the teachers are of the christian faith? what does that mean then, if I study "atheist" aikido.

"For a martial arts to be called a "christian martial art", shouldn't it originate from the root of christianity (i.e. jesus or his disciples)" deathwish123456789

  • Please do not get me wrong, I respect everyone for whatever he decides to do and I've been taught the respect never to talk down on anyone or their martial arts, whatever i may think about it. But, to be honest, I think it is pretty insolent to call a martial art "Christian". But I will absolutely change my mind if you can explain me, why you chose to do so.

  • @breedingpitmetal Why call it Zen, Buddhist or Shinto or whatever else? Well, most Martial Arts have a sort of religious background and are influenced by it then presented by its sensei to his students, and here can be a problem. Because Christian Martial Arts Assoc. gathers Christian teachers around the world from many different styles and who teach Budo in a ‘Christian way’ supporting with moral values or Bible it makes sense to call it ‘Christian’ and thus distinguishing the difference.

  • @breedingpitmetal Hi, well i don't know nothing about the culture of christian martial arts cause i'm a jew, but if your question is if a religion should have or not martial arts, ok, there is this jewish ancient martial art called "ABIR" it's based on the hebrew aleph-bet. It has been said that the warrios of Israel used it. Please type "Israelites Records Found In Japan" on youtube, maybe the martial arts are based on this one. Israel fights in the name of Adonay Tzevaot (G-d of the armies)

  • @breedingpitmetal Hi, i don't know nothing about the culture of christian martial arts, but if you're asking whether if a religion should have or not a martial art, in jewish tradition there is this ancient artial art called "Abir", it has been said that Israel warriors used it. Please type " Israelites Records Found In Japan" in youtube. After the assyrian invasion some Israel tribes went to Japan, maybe the martial arts has a basement in Abir. Israel fights in the Holy Name of Adonay Tzevaot!

  • For a martial arts to be called a "christian martial art", shouldn't it originate from the root of christianity (i.e. jesus or his disciples) or, at the very least, from part of christian history where the martial arts was developed and played a significant role?

This only makes sense in a business perspective (when you are trying to attract specific clients) but logically this makes no sense whatsoever.

  • Aikido may not be Christian in a historical, denominational sense, but rather Christian in a descriptive sense. By emphasizing that a win at someone else's expense is no true victory at all, and especially training with the attacker's safety as well as one's own as an objective, it both uses and further develops humility and charity. Thus, I can practice with no mental reservation.

  • Hey Yeshuado, I was curious if you would elaborate on the concepts, philosophies and execution of the Art of Yeshua-Do. If you would please compile what ever info you wish to divulge into a PM :) Greatly appreciated, your brother in Christ. Ja_warria

  • The Christian form of martial arts is the mounted and armored knight on horseback. You are confused and do not know history.

Allegiance to the local lord is part of the feudal system, and the knights were lords, or aristocrats, while the peasants were serfs.

Trying to wed two highly different feudal systems is laughable at best.

  • @72Yonatan - before pronouncing criticism you need also to know that they're Christian samurai in the history too. So Christian martial arts is not only limited to the arts of medieval knights. Wherever Christian faith spread out around the world some warriors were converted and continued to practiced their arts but in a different spirit.

  • @yeshuado

There were not any Christians in Japan until the late nineteenth century. Samurai are a midieval institution. Try to get a better grasp of your history. Also, give examples of the people you claim were Christian samurai with dates. As far as I know, they are incompatible philosophies.

  • @72Yonatan - you are wrong and do not know well history, sorry. Check for yourself history of Japan 16-17 century, and Date Masamune Daimyo, there are also many others.

And even if they were only in 19th century some Christian warriors in Japan you already proved yourself wrong.

  • @yeshuado Date Masamune wasn't a Christian although he did allow the Christians more freedom than most Daimyo, it was probably for economic reasons. The Christian Daimyo were mostly from Kyushu most famously the Otomo Clan if memory serves.

  • @yeshuado history still doesn't make it a christian martial art it just makes the martial artist christian. To call it a christian martial art would not be correct what about the other martial artists that practice this that are not christian.

  • @bitchcuntnugget - History? If we want to, so we’re history and write on it. There are many Christian MA organizations today which relate almost to any known styles because people are FREE to do that. What about others who are not Christians? Well, do not know; but they can do whatever they want to or just go their own way if they feel so offended.

  • @yeshuado It seems to me that christians are among the most higly offendable religion there is, for example try telling them that their god is the wrong way and there are more then just there god. So in other words how are the other practicioners suposed to go their own way when the christian world is trying to stop them?

  • @bitchcuntnugget - Maybe your ego is still offended, but that’s your problem of course. If you are convinced already that Jesus is wrong and all Christianity false but you are right, we won’t argue with you, just go your own way; that’s it, no-one is trying to stop you. But leave our freedom alone, put your accusing finger down, join your "offended friends' party", and do not tell us what we have to do to make you contend.

  • @yeshuado Practice what you preach buddy. I have never been approached by a buddhist and been told I am going to hell for not following the christian ways. But I have been approached by members of a christian church and told this.

  • @bitchcuntnugget - I didn’t suppose that discussion here will be so much about religion. Well, you see, Jesus came to save sinners from their sins, and we all are sinners. That’s a simple and argent Gospel message and you should be thankful to Christians who told you that, not attacking them instead. It’s like a warning: “your house burning”, you do not ignore it but just do it something. Choice is yours of course. Bless you.

  • @yeshuado This is useless because you just keep overseeing my point with your own. I also think you may need to study your religion more, Jesus was not sent to repent for our sins, do you really think God would send his son down to be tortured?

  • @bitchcuntnugget - Still arguing, questioning, and kicking Christianity? … maybe good. So, why Jesus was sent and what was His purpose/mission here on earth? Tell me, please :)

  • @yeshuado I was asking your opinion on that subject. do you really think that god the lord god, would send his owns son down to be punished by lesser beings?

  • @bitchcuntnugget - I do believe that Jesus died for our sins, to make men free (John 3.16-21); but why asking me? Every Christian can tell you that.

Ask yourself what you’re looking for and in what do you believe?

  • @bitchcuntnugget well, the buddhist just believes that you're stuck in a suckish situation and place until you reach "illumination", which basically is to follow the buddhist way... same thing.

  • @72Yonatan agreed. 1 word "seboku"

  • @72Yonatan There were Christians all over Japan in the 16th Century. Especially in Kyushu and the west of Japan and Jesuit missionaries were quite common. The Otomo clan famously was Christian and there were many converts to Christianity within the provinces they ruled. Christianity was later outlawed though and the Tokogawa Shogunate went to great and quite successful lengths to eradicate Christianity.

  • Aikido is not Christian by any stretch of the imagination. Morihei Ueshiba was really into the Ōmoto-kyō religion and got many of his philosophies and other points of view from that. Many religions share similar ideas. So if there is some overlapping going on due to similar ideas then I can understand that. There is no rational justification to say that Aikido is a Christian marital art (do your research). That is like saying that fish need bicycles (from an extreme point of view).

  • @MrBandoner - true, aikido is not a Christian at all, that's why we call our art Yeshua-Do and Christian approach/philosophy is expanded freely here. Thx for comment anyway.

  • I didn't get this.

    Anyone care to explain? :l

I mean... please? I am so lost on this one.

  • I train in Aikido and well... It's gotten me out of some tough situations. At church and school well as on the street.

  • nonesense! Christians are not taught to fight, they are taught to love and help others.

  • Nonsense! Christianity and Aikido have nothing to do with each other.

  • so... wuts that have to do with Christanity?

  • You are right about the 1st half -Yeshua Bar Yosef (Jesus Son of Joseph ) is the

Givven name of Jesus, However Joshua is Yehoshua Not Yeshua

    Sincerely

    Asher

  • Jim, James, Jimmy, Heimi, Shamus...all mean the same...Jesus (greek), Yeshua, and Yehoshua (Hebrew/Aramaic) are both forms of Joshua...meaning God is our Salvation. ha'Mashiach (messiah=anointed in Hebrew/ Christos in Greek)...(Thrice anointed Prophet, Priest, and coming King) O.T. Hebrew, N.T Greek...Nothing worth an argument.

  • disgusting

  • what GodlessNinja can say to sound reasonable; critic is easy, facing the truth so difficult.

  • HAHAHA! What is this? Legacy of Kanai sensei... What is up with the name? *Yuesha-do* All sensei is doing is Iaido- Chuden numbers five and six. So why dontcha put up *Kanai sensei, Iaido, Chuden* and loose the poofy music? At least sensei was good...

  • so awsome!!!!

  • epic...

  • Inarguably peoples lives are steered by beliefs. My personal belief is that old battles of religion, nation and ethnicity must be put aside for the good of our species and most others.

I'm always having fun. I wasn't looking for a fight, just wanted to point out some perceived absurdity.

And my time is very limited at the moment.

Religious arguments on facebook just aren't a priority at the moment.

All the best to you my friend and peace be upon you.

  • Okay, how would I go about disproving the existence of your deity with only your own literature as evidence? That's a tough call.

    Could I be arsed? No, I couldn't.

I really don't give a shit what you choose to believe. Go all out my friend.

You can buy into any old shit some old codger wrote down millenia ago. No skin off my nose.

I want to deal with material matters that affect peoples lives in the here and now.

    Regardless of what they believe.

  • Adam and his rib-woman-clone-thing were genetically diverse enough to spit out between them progeny that were ancestors to all the different ethnic variations from Pygmies to Latinos as well as what? Neanderthals? All the hominids? Orang Utans?

And now our genes are unwinding and collapsing throughout us like an ancient clock?

  • So why did the genetic load not take it's toll sooner? Considering we all come from one man, where did we get the genetic diversity in our species and at what point did cousin-rutting become a detrimental practice?

  • I have a King James bible.

Do you want me to quote more at you?

  • "For thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors; the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me."

    Exodus, 22:29

"And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of."

    Genesis, 22:2

  • "And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake. And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife."

    Genesis 20:11-12

  • God CAN be seen: "And I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my backparts." Exodus, 33:23 "And the Lord spake to Moses face to face, as a man speaketh to his friend." Exodus, 33:11 "For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." Genesis, 32:30

  • God CANNOT be seen: "No man hath seen God at any time." John, 1:18 "And he said, Thou canst not see my face; for there shall no man see me and live." Exodus 33:20

"Whom no man hath seen nor can see." 1 Timothy, 6:16

  • "...thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe." (Exodus 21:23-25) versus "...ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on the right cheek, turn to him the other also." (Matthew 5:39)

  • Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death He that sacrificeth unto ANY god, save the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

    Exodus 22:18-20

  • If you were a Christian Scientist it would seem logical. They don't use medicine if their kids get sick. All is in God's hands for them. As for contradictions, the bible speaks both for and against killing, incest is called an abomination although it was cool for Abraham to screw his daughter and it seems quite unsure wether god can be seen or not - some claim to have seen his face while he tells others that he cannot be seen by any. It's not really about context.

  • the horror ... wtf is that christian - budo - tanto joke ??? what a waste , you have taken 3 minutes of my life for nothing ...

  • "What the fuck" is merely a sign of bemusement or perplexion. And yes, criticism IS easy. Cultures and beliefs are not only adapted to, they themselves adapt and evolve. No contention. What I was pointing out was the seeming incongruity of a Japanese martial art and a mid-Eastern messianic religion. I know the bible talks in favour of swordplay and warfare in places, it's full of contradicting statements.

  • i dont know this feels like an oxymoron:)

  • Excellent video! 5 stars!!

  • What the fuck?

It's aikido how can you claim it to be Christian? This fighting style is a way. Christianity is a belief.

Yeshua-do would be to follow the example of Jesus. I never saw anything in the bible about drawing your katana from a seiza position.

  • Christian Martial Art -- Yeshua-Do? Martial Arts are for war and God is consume fire but He is love too... Aikido is a tool, Jesus is a way... So, you can´t mix a tool with a way... What the hell is a Christian Martial Art -- Yeshua-Do?

  • A sword is a tool. Ken-do means "sword way." What part about that do you fail to understand? Maybe someone needs to teach you a lesson...

  • What is a sword without a swordman? I´m martial artist since many years (9 years) and christian many years more (20 years)... and everybady need to learn many thing beggining for you. Chao, pana. u.u

  • You said much, yet you somehow managed to say nothing. Chao, indeed.

  • What does Mitsunari Kanai have to do with Christian Martial Arts or "Yehua Do"? Kanai Sama taught Aikido...

  • We are proud to use in Christian Martial Art -- Yeshua-Do the teaching presented by Kanai Sensei. His knowledge was not kept secret for one particular group or sect. I was one of his students and know his understanding of Budo. He followed the Founder's principle: "Aikido is not reserved for one particular nation or group is opened to the world". And the world is not only Shinto or Buddhists.

  • Transforming warriorship includes many stages described sometimes as SHU-HA-RI; and the Christians can use some forms to build their own view of modern Budo.
