I love this album. Just saw Slayer and Rob Zombie in Pittsburgh and Slayer absolutely destroyed. They opened with World Painted Blood and Hate Worldwide, played some classics. Other than those two and Snuff, nothing was newer than Seasons in the Abyss. One thing I always loved about Slayer is that their live shows sound like the studio recording with added intensity.

@saberbazer Right on man, as a recording engineer i was disgusted with this album and how it sounded, the guitars were thin and tinny the only thing that i thought sounded ok at best was the drums, and the placement on them are terrible. It had such potential to be an ass kicker too.

I've heard the finished song "World Painted Blood" and Fidelman did mix it wrong. It has a weird reverb kind of tone and the high end is too pronounced. It's like you're listening to a Slayer album through a really cheap pair of headphones.

i saw them both about a month ago. slayer went on first, and some people weren't even concious by the time megadeth hit the stage. both played fucking great, though.
