  • And how burned on is it at the bottom then?

  • Seriously CHOW? First that awful attempt at frying an egg and now this? Rice has no gluten. You really need to be more thorough to avoid spreading misinformation by employing incompetent cooks.

  • The real mistake is using a fork. Chopsticks are what u use for rice

  • @SweetKandiez True dat! :D

  • shes not asian frist mistake lmao

  • LIQUID thats the water

    NO SHIT SHERLOCK JEEEESUS

  • If you have Gluten in your Rice-

    *buzz*

    You're doing it all wrong

    !

  • you cannot get a rice cooker??GO GET SOME!!

  • Get a rice cooker, not listen to a yelling lady!

  • yep she said rice 7 times....

  • Comment removed

  • i feel threatened by her...pointing her spoon

  • horrible american ...

  • WTH...i eat rice everyday

  • or you use a ricecooker....

  • This video stinks, big time. She could've done a better job of explaining the technique of how to cook rice without darn near having a heart attack. This blows.

  • i think she read the instructions on the back of every bag of rice....

  • How many times did this crazy bitch say rice?! Calm down, woman.

  • @retrodancingbee 7 times

  • it is better if the rice is rinsed before cooking . it gets the starch off.

  • chill the fuck out about the rice, lady jeez

  • a dinner fork oh hell no chopsticks please

  • the right way is the azn way

  • but i like sticky rice :(

  • there's something called a rice cooker.

  • B-b-but I love sticky rice!

  • Calm down bitch... jeez

  • That's not how you make REAL rice. You actually have to wash it and cook it in a rice cooker.

  • it is possible to burn the rice at the bottom if you don't stir it.

  • I like rice.

  • her name is poppy tooker? awesome

  • OK !! I'M SORRYY!!!! DON'T HURT ME!!!

  • Wash the rice until all the white crap comes off, don't add as much water (that's what causes the lumpy rice, not really the stirring). You can still uncover it before 20mins and it will come out great if you don't add as much water..

  • You wash the rice at least 3 times and pour the excess starch out. The add water up to the first knuckle on your pointer finger when your finger is on top of the rice. Do this in a rice cooker, usually on sale for less than ten bucks at the corner drug store, and you're good to go. Never burnted, sticky or undercooked rice.

  • rice is so much more complicated to cook than those 3 steps...

gotta rinse it, balance the rice to water ratio.....then knowing when to cover, when to adjust heat...depending on the quantity you want to make...alll this changes...

  • Buy a honda civic

  • cuz a white lady is the person to trust on this

  • The only reason why you wash the rice is to remove it's starch, you see when you wash it water gets white-ish, after 2-3 times you washed it it's gonna get clearer, which means no more starch, you could wash it after it's cooked too

  • 0:31 SKULL CANDY!!!!

  • How make perfect rice every time marry an asian problem solved.

  • did she just say gluten? Why - why!?

  • whats up whith this bitch

  • but my fave rice is sticky.. :/

  • washing your rice depends on the kind of rice you get. some kinds you do wash, some kinds you don't.

we get a lot of basmati rice at our house and you wash that. if you use enriched american white rice, you don't wash it.

  • She didn't clean the rice too.

  • @genocidal123 You don't need to.

  • @BISlover544 Yes you do. I have lived in Asia for my whole life. Probably eating more rice than you.

  • @genocidal123 Eh, there are many divulging opinions on the matter, and it usually depends on the type of rice. I'm Chinese, and in my household we never washed the rice. No matter; just different cultures and habits.

  • @BISlover544 I'm korean and I used to live with chinese and japanese and both of them washed the rice before cooking. Try washing next time! You will get loads of scum floating on top. I only wash it once. Ask your mom and I'm sure she always washed it before cooking it.

  • @hyungsup2 Well, that's the thing; my Mom never washes the rice, and we never get any dirt or anything on there. Maybe the rice I buy is pre-washed or something :/

  • @BISlover544 youre just a scummy fucker

  • @ikir14 U mad, bro? Welcome to the internet, where it just so happens no one likes you.

  • @BISlover544 no one likes shitty individuals either...fyi.

  • @stigmatic79 I don't wash rice, so I'm a bad person? That makes so much sense I cannot even believe it.

  • @BISlover544 no i didn't it like that haha....

  • cuz a white lady would be the person to trust on this subject

  • I like sticky rice though...

  • I really don't see the difference. I mean if your gonna cook rice like that. Its gonna be hard and dry. I am Chinese. I know. The mashy rice she thought was a piece of shit is actually much more moist, and feels much more lighter. You can pick up a chunk of the rice with a pair of chopsticks. And usually rice is bland, so if you have a sauce. This doesn't concern you. If not this sticky rice is much better to eat with dry stuff.

  • this always ends out with a burnt rice bottom without stirring... the crap she pulled was just mashed crap :/

  • Or... you get a rice cooker. Done.

  • why the fuck are you yelling at us?

  • @Nekologic OMFG. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • @Nekologic HAAAAAAAAahahahahahhahahahahahaha

  • @Nekologic Hahahahahahahahhaa

  • wow what a great way to make rice it only take 25 min -_-

  • How to make perfect rice everytime

    Hire a Asian ;D

  • @SansakixD lol or a Persian sounds weird but my family is persian n all we eat is rice XD

  • @SansakixD *An* Asian

  • It must have taken a lot of effort to make the "mess up" batch of rice for this video.

  • I just read the instructions off the bag of rice. That's what it says to do.

I add a dash of garlic powder and it makes it taste more like the takeout Chinese restaurant rice.

  • i have a rice cooker but if i did it this way So your saying me to turn my stove to 1 degrees?

  • who doesnt want sticky rice? its actually HARDER FOR ME to get sticky rice instead of ur so called "perfect" rice -__- also... get over it... just go w/ @Vieteddy said buy a dam rice cooker

  • you're implying I dont like sticky rice

  • cunt didn't even wash her fucking rice ! okay this is how you do it folks!!! follow this cunts cooking method but before cooking wash your rice 9 times, fill once more, soak for at least one hour, drain water, now add your water but you are going to cut your water but 1/4, if you are using 1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water you are now going to be using 1 cup rice to 1 1/2 cups water! now cook like rice like the cunt does, take off burner do not remove lid and cover with a towel for 20 mins, eat!

  • @CaptainNensho Take 2 pots of rice. Wash one and not the other. Cook. Tast them both in a blind taste test. If you can tell the difference I'd be amazed. Much like brown eggs > white eggs, putting a cork in a pot for octopus, or searing meat to seal in the juices this is a very outdated dogma. It's a practice that has no evidence to back it's potential benefits.

  • @chefkoo you're a fucking moron!

  • i feel a little insult by the fact she said "liquid, that's the water, ....." i mean ouch hopely everyone knew what the liquid was >.>

  • @VideoScenario 2 cups water to 1 cup rice

  • Rice is by definite gluten free --- utter and total bull $hit.

  • we asians put washed rice and water (jus enough to cover the rice) into a pot, and steam it. Best style.

  • She's intense

  • ur not even azn -.-

  • water rice and stir-stick equals gluten? i think not, I'm gluten intolerant so this woman best take back what she said

  • cool

  • I just use a rice-cooker :-/

  • She didn't wash the rice, nor did she give it some time to rest after it was done boiling.

  • @edwardnr17 agreed, at least she gave the gluten tip

  • @edwardnr17 Frankly, I freaked out too. "If you learned how to cook rice from Chow Tips... you're doing it all wrong".

  • stupid..we asians are experts on making rice! what you do is...put your desired rice amount in the container your cooking in,put water (maker sure the water is 1-2 inches higher than the rice, let it boil (cover it) when it boils you can see bubbles are trying to escape the pot, lift up the cover put it back (make sure you put enough hole/space to let air in..(put it on low hit) then wait for it to cook. you done.....te crazy bitch is a moron

  • @immarnel awesome that someone here thinks like me.

  • o.O don't people have rice cookers for this??

  • Why did I hear "Chow tits"?

  • rite on

  • LMAO

  • Comment removed

  • @JustaEropeanGuy because you have a one track time.

  • @JustaEropeanGuy really cuz i herd 'show tits"

  • Step one wash the rice?

  • u need a ratio of 2 of water per 1 cup of rice...and thyem let it evaporate all the water on low ;)

  • RICE AN' PEA!

    BOOGLE BOOGLE.

  • who cooks rice in a pot these days ? seriously.

  • or maybe ordering a proper rice cooker from China? which thats hella less of time to prepare...

  • the process of making perfect rice it starts not on a stove. 1st picking the right grain 2nd soaking 3rd thick bottom pot 4th measurement and timing.

  • ignorant ppl here starch is a different kind of carbohydrates so wen ju add water and mechanical movement it is a "glutonious mees" ppl need to go back to school and for you ppl who say use a rice cooker wat if we want to use a pot u can use dat cuz u know u cant make rice right!

  • I like how you were able to spell "mechanical" and "carbohydrates", but not "you" and "people".

  • nice noticing but i dont really care cuz datz y i have english class and plus if i spelt mechanical my way alot of ppl wud not no wat im talking about

  • Yeah, this lady is a moron. It makes "glutenous rice" in terms of making it sticky like gluten, but there is no actual gluten there.

Sounds like the author didn't do her research.

  • There's no gluten in rice, jackass. That's why Gluten-free noodles in the store (for allergic people) are made from rice.

  • use a fucking rice cooker

  • There is more to it than just water boil, and lower the heat. The water that left in the pot after it is boiled is very important. If you have to much water in there you will get really soft gross rice!

  • I think the racist PoS who post here, should do their own cooking tips, and bugger off. i use the microwave stuff, it is all the same a starch.

  • Get a rice cooker.

  • I wash my rice but some people thinks it's healthier for consumption without washing or washing too much.

  • Cow tits..........

  • ChoW tits

  • All you need to do is let the water boil, cover, lower heat and leave it till it's done. How is getting a rice cooker any easier?

  • You don't have to watch the time.

  • rice cookers are designed with the correct cooking time based on the weight of the rice.

  • There is a big different between the rice cooker and the pot! This old fashion way taste alot nicer than the rice cooker!!

  • pro tip buy a rice cooker!

  • umm thats what rice cookers are for.

  • i got a rice machine xD

  • sticky rice is the original way it was cooked

  • my mom just microwaves it

  • your mom uses that 5 minute crap

  • this bitch knows alot about rice

  • She needs to clean the pot before different takes....

  • Get a rice cooker.

  • @Vieteddy

learn to cook, it's easy and cheaper

  • @ispaniola What? How? With a rice cooker you just put rice in, rince the rice, pop it in the cooker, press the on button- then BAM, 20 or so minutes later it's done and all you have to do is stir it and let it sit.

  • @Vieteddy lol i was gonna say that

  • still looks clumpy and sogy

  • No, it looks perfect, I eat rice everyday and I prefer my rice a little bit dry, a drier version than this is pretty much inedible, but then it depends on how you like your rice, and the the rice grain itself.
