shetlands are basicly the smaller version of a clyde horse they were breed to live on little and be able to pull coal carts out of the mines, also have been used as pack horses, a very strong breed its minatures that you cnat do anything much with

Haha, that is pretty funny. I don't know why some of you guys are fussing about them being hurt, the men who were riding them where putting their feet on the ground and weren't putting too much wieght on the ponies backs. I am a horsey person and i know shetlands are a very strong breed they can carry so much wieght! And can pull heavy carts, they're a very handy breed. And like i saw in an early comment, the vikings used them, and they were BIG and HEAVIER than the men in that video. :-)

A shetland pony can carry half its weight and pull twice but it would hurt anyones back bouncing up and down like that. Dont try this at home it is not worth wrecking a good horse for a laugh.

True, but if you look carefully, sometimes they (the riders) put their feet on the ground while the ponies walk. Plus, the riders are not on for very long.

shetlands can go fast if they want to, i have personally been on one that turns into a bronco if you dare get on it bareback (funniest thing in the world, being on a bucking shetland) but this was designed to be FUNNY. if they used regular horses and made them walk it would be less entertaining. the shetlands = exageration and exageration = funny
