@popothecatathome Well now ive got xfire 5770 cards and push 60 fps fps on any game maxed easily at 1600x1200 res (my monitor only supports that and im working on getting a 1080p one soon :P)

why 4gb? but the answer is yes, the video card is the same and the processor is much better. The 9950 isn't even a phenom II

I'm building the same computer almost but with 6gb ddr3 1600mhz ram. I will do evga step up program when gt 300 comes out, pretty sure it should be in the next 2-3months...

@RedHotPoo Hey dude I have same Spec Core i7 860 but going to get GTX 260 From BFG right now i had Asus EN9600GT it still suck for my FSX on MAxed out but I get around 13 FPS some time around 7 FPS on MAXED out my old card is no good for DX10 mode on it good with out it.

Just ran this also, got a 9800GT and with physx enabled this game really looks v.good, especially how the water collects etc. Here's a question, I know that nvidia users use physx for any physics in game, what do ati/amd users get or do they not get any of those cool physics? btw, the benchmark/tech demo runs in DX10.

ya ok , its 'built' for nvidia cards, but you can use the 4870 if you know how.you dont need SLI at all!!!!

no physx is for nvidia cards not ati... id need the sli mobo to get the fucking 8600gt in the mobo to run the physX only. the graphics would be run on the 4870 XD

Well......My answer is 'No'.The Hardware Physics option in Cryostasis is specificaly coded for Ageia PPUs or Nvidia GPUs.Aswell, CPUs are generally not great at processing many things simultaniously , even if you have quads installed.I would recommend another Nvidia, as no processor(No matter how powerful) will give you the same performance as a PPU or GPU , which this game is coded for.

........you dont need sli, i think, to have physx in game. i think you can choose the card you want to use for physx in the cfg menu for physx

physX is for nvidia cards only..and iv got ati 487. if i had an sli mobo i would have placed my 8600gt in the second slot... just to run physx...
