you know, I DON'T think taylor swift of all people will act in a show in which animals are abused. she is such a sweet and genuine person that I'm sure she will not. anyway, her mom's from houston and talks about it a lot. that's why she would know the show's background.

Taylor may have a voice, but too bad she doesn't use it to speak out about the cruelty inherent in all rodeos. See SHARK's (SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness) channel for many videos of animals being injured and killed in rodeos.

Please do a little research next time before going to rodeos, where your ticket money helps the continued abuse of your fellow animals.

You should do research. Our rodeo doesn't abuse animals.

amanda: I have done research, LOTS of it. ALL rodeos are inherently abusive, because they all feature riding and/or roping animals who are either made to buck with tight buckstraps, electric prods, etc., and baby calves (along with adult ones) are roped and yanked to the ground, sometimes breaking necks, legs, etc.

Surely you've seen this at "your" rodeo.... and yet you claim it doesn't abuse animals? What is your definition of abuse?

I am a member, participant, and supporter of the rodeo. I actually ride the bucking broncos in the women's and junior at the local rodeo, and barrel race at the houston rodeo. The broncs at the rodeos are made to buck with a flank strap. It's a strap that has a soft cotton material that goes around their flank. It tickes, and they buck. Where's the abuse there? They never use baby calves, and there has never been an inury to an animal at the rodeo. Thanks! :)
