The set up i'm working with is simple. It's starting off with my 1984 944 2.5L n/a as the base. The method i'm going with is header, cat, sound organizer, muffler. first, an MSDS header, because it is equal length and a 4-1 design. then, following the 3" outlet, a random technology's 3" in/out high flow cat. After the cat, reduce it down to 2.5" and where the old cat used to be, a 2.5" in/out gibson superflow sft. After that, maybe a nice resonated tip or another muffler at the back.
every 944 i've driven has been a blast. though its such a pain getting power out of a normal 2.5L. I would love to have your displacment! Maybe even get a 3.0L crank to put in too to bump up that displacment even further. I'll probably be posting up my exhaust here too as soon as i'm done megasquirting the 2.5L.
@locke6984 I`ve often though about putting an s2 crank and maybe even a turbo but all that is pretty pricey so its just a dream for now.But turbo or not the`re awesome cars.
@jhals07 A 3.0L crank is what you use to stroke these motors a 3.0 crank in a 2.7 would increace the displacement to a full 3.0L and if you put a 3.0 crank in a 2.5 you end up with a 2.8L.
@locke6984 I was originally running it without the resonator but it was just ear bleeding loud without it although it did sound good. thanks for the response
i liked the speed run around the bend..smokin!... lol, also the car sounds great the way it is in my opinion ,the whine makes it sound mean ..anyways , great looking and one of the best sounding 944s ive seen
Post a video of it without the resonator

I need to get some videos of my 89 screaming past at around 7200... Sounds much deeper than yours.

what diameter exhaust piping do you have?

@locke6984 It`s a full 2.5" from the header to the muffler then exits the muffler as two 2" pipes which have resonated tips on them.

@locke6984 What would you gain by putting in a 3.0L crank?

I believe if you take off the resonator, it would sounds better IMHO.
