  • Lloyd - that was some FAST shots, my man!!!

  • its comforting to know that stupid hair cuts for guys that are that good at fight isnt a trend that just started recently

  • THAT BELT WAS SMALL AS SHIT

  • This might be 97 but Irvin's corner had some pants on that were straight '87. Can't touch this!

  • That was a sick heel hook!

  • Ha! Wasnt' that Frank Cucci's Vale Tudo?? That gym looks like the one my cousin fought in up there KO'ing his opponent in 1R with a right cross ... the guy low kicked and landed forward right into the cross. I also met Fernando Salvador at that event then and he is a BJJ black belt today, here in North Carolina.

  • yay for a great effort at passing guard....and then decisively attaining victory with such an un-stoppable heel hook!!!

It was his takedowns, though, that were truly impeccable...

  • Was like a flashback seeing those old school mma gloves with the "red cross" on the wrist...they were $29.99 i think...got a pair for my brithday in '97. Good times!

  • Love the black muscle shirt guy wearing the hammer pants

  • LOL @ the belt!

  • @wesley830 it sure felt good getting it then though, now my kids have better belts

  • i thought the referee was lloyd lol

  • what song is that???

  • @jonshultz hail mary

  • @jonshultz

    Ambition as a ridah, Tupac

  • glad he still walkin

  • that's funny!

  • I wanna train with Lloyd ... ++ Troy

  • beautiful

  • NICE !!!

  • Love the speed. Talk about getting off the X. Almost feel sorry for the other bloke, he didn't know what he was getting into. You can see why they went to the cage. You almost went out of the ring under the ropes a couple times. Nicely done.

  • I love footage like this! Great vid.

  • ROFL you even won a belt.

  • Roooo!!!!

  • Between your Royce Gracie stance and your cornerman's fashionable get-up, I was rolling on the floor.

  • Some legendary shit right there. Jiu Jitsu.

The tune is Ambitionz Az a Ridah by Tupac.

Boss heel hook, fast clinch, sick throws.

  • I seen you throw the hooks up.

    Da bruhs!!!

  • Ha LOL! Forget the gi pants... what about your cornerman wearing the "Hammer pants"!!!!! Oh hell no!

  • LMFAO

  • Haha fucking love those ankle locks

  • cool, never knew he did mma fights

  • a jiu jitsu chant after he won using a catch wrestling move!!!!!!! hmmmm........thats bout as bad ass when vitor would knock a guy out using boxing, then all the brazialians would scream jiu jitsu. crazy

  • So you think there are no leg locks in jiu jitsu?

  • its funny that you call it catch also when i thought lloyd's leglock background was from sambo.

  • yeh thats quite a silly thing to say. Nobody yelled ju jitsu when vitor won with boxing ever. I dont think brazilians would ever even chant jui jitsu lol. A leg lock is a leg lock believe it or not several people can think of the same way to twist a leg so it hurts its not like one person thought of it and then after that nobody else can

  • The difference between your line of thinking and a BJJ black belt's is that he can apply it in any positon he finds himself in w/o Thinking of when or how to apply it. Sure anybody can do a leglock WWE style. That's not to say that it's an effecive one that'll end the fight.

  • what are you talking about? I was saying to the other guy that diff styles can have the same technique without anybody copying anybody... I wasnt talking about any kind of application of the move

  • ROFLMFAO "I don't think would ever chant jiu-jitsu lol" are you SERIOUS???!?!!!! ROFLMMFAO!!! Watch some old UFCs and Vale Tudo matches. Especially MARS or WCC, Extreme Fighting, etc. They used to chant, "Jiu-Jitsu" ALL the time when one of their guys won!!

LOL Sorry, I know you're probably new to MMA, but that statement is just too DAMN FUNNY!!!!!! LMAO

  • lol no no im not new to MMA. But i did only watch the ones that were accissible to me. And ive never heard that haha it sounds embarassing. Silly me was thinking of now not the past. Would they still do it now? and im right with nobody chanting it for vitor im sure lol

  • Ahhh no worries, man! It's all good. If you ever do get the chance, those were some seriously good fights. Lots of "Style vs Style" but good none-the-less. As far as Vitor, I believe they *did* chant Jiu-Jitsu in his first couple of tournaments in UFC, but I am not sure. It's been so long since I saw his old heavyweight fights, but would be nice to see them again. It is a shame he backed away from his raw speed and power that he had from his boxing skills. Keep training and enjoy the vids

  • Its hard to find them now without knowing the specifics like whick fight you're looking for. Vitor frustrates me now. He has kinda the same thing as tito developed. If he doesnt absolutely dominate in the first round he just deflates lol . Peace dude

  • Yeah, they have the John Hess fight here, and prolly the Randy Couture fight, or at least highlights from comps, on here. THe good ones were his steam rolling of Tra Teligman, Scott Ferrozo, or even when he was the first one to hand Tank a TKO loss. Yeah, I would agree with those. lol THey have both deviated from made them great, I just hope they get back on track soon. Looking forward to seeing Tito fight again (some day)

  • LOL still funny to think that somehow, legs locks, strikes, throws, etc are NOT a part of Jiu-jitsu!!! LOL And I am NOT REFERRING TO STRAIGHT BJJ!!! I am talking about Jiu-Jitsu, the ancient art started in 10, 000 BC which is were almost all arts developed from. (And not in Japan, but actually historians figure it started in Egypt/Africa) It is ALL MARTIAL ARTS to me! ;-)

BTW, they would chant "Jiu-Jitsu" because that was their MAIN style, and hence.. the chants!

  • Dude, catch wrestling doesn't have the monopoly on leglocks. BJJers use them all the time. Ex- Roy Harris, Stephen Kesting, plenty of others.

Besides, catch wrestling is like the cake. It's a lie.

  • Roy Harris learned them from Nick Baturin, sambo guy, Kesting got his from Paulson.

Catchwrestling is where many modern leglocks originated from, if you read sambo manuals from 1930's you see that they mention Catchwrestling as a source for the new system, called SAMBO.

  • who does this song?

  • What! Motherfuckin TUPAC nigga! he got a black belt in Guns!

  • ju-jit-su ju-jit-SUUUUUUUUUU

  • Awesome Royce Impression. I saw a little Rickson in there as well.

  • Classic!!

  • That impression of Royce was better than Royce could do himself! lol :) Mad props to one of the best coaches in the world! Sweet heel hook! This is vintage, I loved the jiu-jitsu chant at the end, totally awesome!
